Have it on PS3. Mostly play it in Quickplay mode, so only have a few songs available to play. Though, I went online and found a cheat code to unlock all songs, though the scores don't count in that mode. Recently started a band in tour mode, but am early on in the process.
So is it that the more you progress in tour mode, the more songs become "unlocked" and thus available for play and score in Quickplay mode? Is this the same for all of these band games?

I'd have to boot up the game (or go digging through months old posts across a couple of different messageboards) but there's a specific progression through the Challenge Mode challenges that will open up a ton of the songs... Essentially you play the one challenge that opens up the next difficulty level, then play the challenge there that opens the next... all the way up to the hardest tier. Takes about 45 minutes
Side note, but if you never played the first Rock Band you might want to borrow it from a buddy or rent it, because you can export all of the RB1 songs onto your hard drive to use in RB2. Pretty much doubles your library right there.
edit: just for you I dug up the progression. Go to Tour Challenges and do these:
Local Upstart - Vocal Warmups
Underground Favorite - Vocal Apprentice
Opening Act - 90s Hits
Chart Topper - 60s Hits
Headliner - 00s Hits
Legendary Act - 70s Hits
Impossible Challenges - 80s Hits
(for those first two, sub 'vocal' for whatever instrument you use)
Beat all of those challenges and you'll unlock all 84 standard songs by playing a mere 24. This makes random setlists in the actual Tour Mode so much more interesting.

Thanks, y'all. I'm still relatively new to the game, so I appreciate the info.
