Buddy of mine is in town from Virginia and just finished up a presentation at UT. He's wandering the drag checking things out right now and was looking for a place he "had to" eat at. A landmark type place.

Are there any places like that around any more?

btw - this guy is somewhat legendary in that he fucked Melissa Stark in college.

there aren't any legendary places to eat on the drag. not south of 26th street anyways. tell him to go to cactus cafe, grab a pitcher, then birdwatch :)

So I pick up my bud around 3:30 and take him over to watch the football practice. He was the lacrosse goalie at UVA and played in the NC game, knows a bunch of NFL guys, etc, so he thought it was pretty cool. We are watching the scrimmage part at the end and I'd been pointing out some of the talent on our side of the ropes when some hottie walks by talking to one of the camera guys shooting for the evening news. I make a comment about her hotness (she was the one in the purple top w/ the gold sash thing and the JLo sunglesses) and the first thing out of his mouth is "That's the next Melissa Stark right there" followed by a shit eating chuckle. Fucker. :mad2:
