i have a really old house. belmont, holla!
the house originally had only one crapper (the tank is mounted on the wall above it. you pull a chain to flush it. like really old. it's also attached to some archaic plumbing.) the thing about this old ass pot is that when you flush it it goes and goes and goes and goes. it's kind of scary. i do not trust it so it's a water fountain for my dogs.
had a handyman by this morn. he got realy excited when he saw it. some interesting facts:
- it's an antique. obviously. there are antique toilet collectors that i could sell my old ass crapper to.
- it has an 8 gallon tank. to give you some perspective here the other crappers in the house have 1.6 gallon tanks. in some states the crapper would be illegal to operate, lol.
- in the pipe under the toilet there is an 8 ft vertical drop before it goes horizontal. this would account for the horrible post flush waterfall sound that makes me paranoid.
- it is designed to deliver huge hydrostatic pressure. it drops 8 gallons of water in pretty much a 13 ft uninterrupted line. it can flush anything. he called it a 'bowl winder'.
- he offered to buy it and replace it at a discount with a newer model. a win win offer for me. i told him no.
