browser freezing up when I go to ESPN and Youtube*fixed*

I'm on a Mac using firefox but I switched over to Safari and had the same problem. Most sites work fine but for some reason ESPN and Youtube lock up and require force quit.

Only changes I've made recently is to add a FLV player and I trashed some flash files

First, reboot. [Sorry, standard answer I give people in my office when they say something is wrong with their computer. It works about 99% of the time]


I would say uninstall the FLV player and see if you are having the problem. If it still has issues, then it isn't the FLV player/associated files. At least then you can narrow the problem. You may want to try reinstalling firefox and/or safari. If the problem persists...then somebody else may be able to help you.

Fixed it, though I'm still not exactly sure what the problem was. I had already tried rebooting but I just downloaded latest version of Java and it worked. I must have deleted something I shouldn't have.

I had the same exact problem going to ESPN yesterday using Safari. Odd
