Acronis gets good reviews. I have been meaning to get it for a while. Good deals can be had on ebay.

I've had good luck with Ghost.

Ghost has always been extremely solid. I've used it at home, at work imaging servers over the network, and never found fault with it. I've had experience with a couple of others through they years (can't remember names), but they didn't seem as fast as ghost.

i know you don't have a mac, but in case any mac users are looking for the same thing i just started using superduper! to do scheduled nightly backups to an external drive. it works really well because i can unmount the drive so it doesn't make any fan noise and superduper mounts, smart backups, makes bootable and unmounts the external drive. this is in addition to the time machine drive i have.
