If you want to be able to simulate the 'View Your Posts' feature of the old Shag forum, you will need to enable subscriptions here. Edit your general settings (http://www.shaggybevo.com/board/profile.php?do=editoptions) and select "Through my control panel only" for the Default Thread Subscription Mode. Existing threads/posts will not have subscriptions automatically created, but from this point forward, every thread you post in will create a 'subscription'. When you want to view your subscribed threads, use the Quick Links menu at the top of the page to view Subscribed Threads.
You can also subscribe to threads without posting in them using the Thread Tools menu just above the first post in any thread.

What would the "instantly using email" option do?

That would cause the forum to send you an email every time a thread that you have subscribed to receives a new reply. I wouldn't recommend it.

Was there something added to dynamically update the subscriptions list? Before, you would click a thread, click back, and have to refresh to see that thread not appear... now, it's updated automagically.
So - yay us. If you're taking votes, I prefer this. :)

Your Settings page should only list subscribed threads that have new posts since the last time you read the thread. You can also view the full list of subscribed threads (Quick Links | Subscribed Threads) and the threads with new/unread posts will be highlighted in bold.

Depends on browser from what I've seen.
