The Hustler and TCOM are two seriously kickass films.

I remember first seeing TCOM when I was like 11 or 12 and not getting why Maverick would lose on purpose to Butch Cassidy (obviously wasn't hustling at that age)

maybe i just caught it on an 'off night' but i couldn't find the patience to sit through the hustler. it has a lot of things i love... gambling, pool, newman, etc, but i just couldn't sit through the damn thing.

I was expecting a whole lot more out of "The Color of Money" and remember being somewhat disappointed.

The Hustler is and American Classic and should be required viewing.
