slight necro bump, but this tour starts in a couple weeks so maybe it's time for some buzz.
a friend of mine texted today saying he found floor seats on sale from "Vivid Seats." I told him i thought all the floor passes were sold as electronic tickets, so buyer beware. Anyone know if they are trying to scam him or if he should go ahead and buy them?
they're playing ACL Festival on Saturday at 2:30p.
yes my friend has a floor seat and is will call only, according to that site though
I did a live chat and asked about it and the guy said "Basically, you will receive a gift card that will be used to swipe at the door and that will basically get you in to the show" and when asked if an ID was needed, "Well When you get to the show, you will have to meet with the seller so that he can verify that you are the person who purchased the tickets and then the seller will give you the card to get in"Notes: These are paperless tickets. You will receive the card that will be used to pick up the tickets
I dunno sounds sketchy to me
I suppose it could be legit. the seller could be somebody like me, who has two floor tickets. I arrange to meet up with one random person who gets in with me when I pick up the will call tickets. seems like a logistical treat.
I sold my ticket at face value to my cousin. I probably could've gotten 3x that. Didn't have time to $#@! with it.
My understanding when i bought the tickets was that there would be scanners for the credit card used to purchase and this process served as the "ticket." If that's all there is to it, then the gift card thing might work. I have a feeling there will be some form of ID-checking though. Especially since there has to be some sort of human contingency plan for things like cards that expire, get lost, etc. And that plan would obviously be will-call personnel.
I kind of have a hard time imagining a scalper being willing to go through the process of actually meeting the person at will call to make a profit. And i definitely have a hard time imagining a non-scalper doing it. If they are selling because something came up, they're not going to meet at the venue. And if nothing came up, why aren't they going?
He went ahead and bought them. His rationale was that the site has a money back guarantee so hopefully it works out, but no huge loss if not.
I'm starting to get excited now for Houston. I'll be on the floor this time after being on the Woodlands hill in '03 and '08. The 2003 show will be almost impossible to top for me but you never know. They play in Miami in just a few days and It'll be very interesting to see what the setlist looks like.
that 2003 show at the Woodlands is one of the best concerts I've ever seen. Climbing Up The Walls was amazing.
Pretty sure they played that at the 2008 show. I remember it being a highlight too..
Here is the setlist for 2003:
2. Sit Down. Stand Up.
3. Where I End and You Begin
5. Morning Bell
8. National Anthem
9. Paranoid Android
10. Sail To The Moon
11. Go To Sleep
12. I Might Be Wrong
13. The Gloaming
14. Dollars & Cents
16. No Surprises
17. There There
18. You And Whose Army?
20. A Wolf at the Door
21. Fake Plastic Trees
22. Karma Police
23. Everything In Its Right Place
$#@!, i'm thinking about the 2001 show...which i thought was slightly better than 2003. didn't see them in 2008.
June 18, 2001- The Woodlands
The National Anthem
My Iron Lung
Packt Like Sardines in a Crushd Tin Box
Exit Music (for a Film)
Dollars & Cents
I Might Be Wrong
Everything In Its Right Place
You and Whose Army?
Street Spirit (Fade Out)
Climbing Up the Walls
How to Disappear Completely
Talk Show Host
I'm jealous. That is such a killer, kiler setlist... I was 18 and hadn't quite discovered how awesome Radiohead was yet.
I'm trying to decide if I want to see other shows set lists. How about we do spoiler tags for any current tour set lists? Though I really hope they do Talk Show Host this time around. They did it in 2008 at other shows. Just not in Dallas (boo).
So I'm finally getting around to seeing how the $#@! I'm supposed to get in next weekend and the ticket I have for Houston was sent via Flash Tickets. I got an email back on 11-12 that said my paperless ticket was being sent to my Flash Tickets account but I don't know how to check said account. Any ideas?
Set-list from tonight in Miami
that's a solid setlist. Now I'm restless till next week.

two new songs debuted in Miami.
'cut a hole' doesn't do much, but 'identikit' is kind of a jam.two new songs debuted in Miami.
i think my disappointment is more in the choice of pre-TKOL songs. for the most part they're slower songs, or the songs with complicated electronic rhythms. which is to say, the TKOL-esque ones. that said, radiohead has an amazing knack for taking songs like that and translating them to a live band that just blows my mind.Disappointed? Yes. But surprised....nope.
I get the feeling "There There" is one of the band's favorites as they seem to play it frequently live. We better hear it in Houston and/or Austin.
I really want to hear How to Disappear Completely or Exit Music. Never heard either and they play them both regularly.
it's strange to see a setlist without 'paranoid android'.
Couldn't really tell in the 2 videos above, but didn't they bring that other drummer from TKOL Basement Session on tour with them? If so, the setlists probably won't change too much.
The day before the Miami show, backstage before a final production rehearsal, Yorke revealed that Radiohead have worked up more than 75 songs for this tour, including additional new songs and deep-track B-sides.
I stand corrected. That is $#@!ing great news.
wishful thinking, but I hope we get radically different sets for Houston and Austin.
Radiohead mixed up the setlists quite a bit on their last tour. I'm not real surprised that they have 75 songs at the ready.
due to unforeseen circumstances, I have an extra GA ticket to the Houston show.
pm me, not derka, if interested.
Any Shaggy pre-show drankin' plans in Austin?
I have two extra tickets to Radiohead in Houston. PM me if you're interested.
anyone get the lucky ACLTV email for the taping? ACL has said they've sent out all emails to the winners. I did not get an email unfortunately
