the Port - OKC game on NBATV goes to OT with 2 very questionable calls in OKC favor. The first was an OOB where it looks like off Perkins hand, but given to OKC. Then KD drives to the hoop to have his layup pinned to the glass by UT buddy LA , only to be called goal tending to tie it.

Yep, OKC got very lucky at the end of regulation. I do think Batum got away with murder most of the 4th quarter defending KD and Co. Aldridge had a fantastic game.

KD and Westbrook combined for 57 shot attempts, and th next highest was Ibaka with 8 FGA. Their talent is currently masking some issues that they need to get fixed before the playoffs.

The fact that the Warriors had Monta with 48 and 7, Lee with a solid triple double, and Steph Curry with a near triple double, and the Thunder STILL won is truly a testament to how great this team is.

Thunder break hearts again. I did not think this team could follow up the Portland game, but KD carries them in the clutch AGAIN.

Golden State shot at 60% for 3.75 quarters. Ellis had 48 points. Right off the bat, I knew our defense wouldn't have the legs for this one, so it had to be on the shooting.

There was a key moment in the third qtr. Golden State's shooting gave them an 11-point lead and they threatened to blow the doors off, but Durant, Cook, and Harden responded with threes.

Far and away the best team in the West. The second best are the Clips... and they are a distant second IMO. Thunder would probably win in 5.

That was an entertaining game. I give Westbrook $#@! constanstly, so I have to give him credit for another great performance. He hit some clutch shots.

I'm going to eat crow re: Cook. I was not a fan of the trade to get him, and at best, I was indifferent about his resigning to a 2-year deal in the preseason.

But his contributions have impressed in multiple areas. His attitude, demeanor, shooting, defense, and consistency have all been very solid. The silver lining to Maynor and Thabo's injuries is that Cook receives more attention from the coaching staff beyond what he normally gets as the 8th or 9th man. That's going to generate a positive return, because the Thunder will need his spot-up shooting during the playoff grind. Credit to Brooks also for finding Dae a role and persuading him to buy into the system.

Agreed he is more than a Kopono. He is good enough on D and he has a knack for rebounding. The ball seems to always find him. And his shot, holy $#@! he gets that off quickly. He is an absolute sniper and fits perfectly on the Thunder, especially since Harden and Westbrook are so good at those cross court passes.

Holy $#@!- I just looked at the schedule and OKC is in the midst of a strech where they play 14 games in a row in different ciites (i think they only have 3 home games in that stretch, but none of them consecutively so it's just like breezing through town on a standard road game only it just so happens that you sleep in your own bed.

They do get 3 days off here after this game with Utah. Young legs or not I'd have to think a bit of a rest would be nice.

It was Sacto's only national tv appearance, and it might be the last time they get a national appearance in that town. Let them have their moment in the sun- I thought it was just fine. It's only a regular season game in the middle of February- thought it was nice that they get a send off if that's what it was. There have been some great crowds and a lot of love for that team from that city over the years.

Good point stated in the link: Harden has been a lethal ballhandler off the pick-and-roll despite the Thunder lacking a threatening screener who can roll to the middle. We all agree Nick is a great screener, but he's fairly flat footed on the rollout and he doesn't shoot those 15-foot jumpers anymore. Perk, Nazi, and Serge aren't legit threats either. So unless both the defenders follow Harden leaving the screener wide open, James has to attack the paint. And he's been excellent, converting at the rim at a higher rate than the average NBA center.

Another point: I'd like to see Harden settle for less 3-pointers off the PnR. He's only shooting 1-13 three pointers in that situation, and is generally making less than 30% on jumpshots coming around the screen.

I think Brooks is going to put the ball more in Harden's hands to close out games. We did it against the Jazz in the 4th, and had Westbrook cutting to the rim and Durant catching and shooting off the ball, and honestly, I thought it was our best effort to close out a game against a good opponent in a while.

Watched the 4th quarter (I'm a Nuggets fan).

KD was flat out unstoppable on the perimeter. Westbrook seemed like an afterthought and then I looked up and he had 40.
