    So the mods at raiderpower can't handle the heat...

    If I am not going to be given a voice, due to bannation, i will post my POV over here. Horns fans, please excuse my thread, but this crap is going public. I know folks from RaiderPower hit this site, so here goes.

    I have been banned for the 3rd time on RaiderPower, all based on insecurities and butthurtedness about the Leach/ Tuberville transition.

    #1 was for being "overly negative." This was for not chugging the kool-aid and celebrating the fact that we went to a "January Bowl" at the end of the 2010 season, you know the highly celebrated Ticket City Bowl in Dallas that was freaking empty on game day. I wasn't ready to celebrate an 8-5 season when we were promised "championships."

    #2 was for calling Craig James a POS. You read that correctly. No profanity, no nothing. I might as well have been banned for breathing.

    Shortly following this episode, another poster and I were engaged in a pretty good debate and it was intense to the point that I PMed him rather than post something controversial on the board. Next morning I get a PM from another random poster, "Loved your PM to (poster). It needed to be said." The fact that it was published for other posters to see is a direct violation of the Scout board rules, yet the recipient of my PM still posts on RaiderPower. He is a known anti-Leach, GOB supporter.

    #3 happened today. one of the mods and a poster made a bet that leach would or would not get to 19 wins in 3 years at Wazzu. other posters made statements about Wazzu taking the last 6 seasons to get to 20 wins. i commented that it took Leach his last 2 seasons at Tech. Then the mod says the bet has nothing to do with Tuberville or Tech. I then made the comment that the mod hustled the poster by getting the time range down to 3 years instead of 4 , which would be the average between Wazzu and Leach. If folks were going to talk about wazzu's record, then surely leach's record is relevant, right?

    Then came the little message, 'You are only allowed to read this forum, but not make posts..." or whatever the hell it says.

    The butthurt is tremendous on the site. the bias is greater than the butthurt. They both pale in comparison with the insecurity around the GOB crowd.

    Here is the subsequent PM exchange, since this is permitted on RaiderPower, at least by the precedent involving myself and my PMs.

    I did nothing wrong. Quit getting butthurt because not everybody's not a chugger. Disagreeing with you is not a violation of the rules. However, there are posters with full posting rights that have absolutely violated the rules.- RuMyPal. I am not going to debate it with you, but the guy should be gone for publicizing my PM. I never received an apology, nothing. It is complete BS.

    I have asked repeatedly to make Leach discussion off-limits. The instigators are given free-reign, yet you expect folks on the other side of the discussion to remain muted. Whatever. Seriously.

    If you can't handle a little humor, then I don't know what to tell you. I get banned for complementing you?

    Bottom line is that I AM a good poster that brings a different POV to the table. Thank you from giving me a break from the idiocy that is RaiderPower.

    At this point, I don't give a rip. i do want the discussion out there, though. Thank you for your feedback if you are so inclined.

    Scout and Rivals boards all suck. The only benefit is that if you can surf from board to board depending on your opponent. But stand-alone boards like shaggy are the best if your fanbase is big enough to make it viable.

    Raiderpower sucks. The GUI sucks. The way you "quote" people sucks.

    That said, it seems like Land Thieves is doing reasonably well but Dirty ol Sarge is dying or dead.

    I've been to raiderpower a couple of times, but disliked it enough that I decided to stick around hfans back in the day and moved along to Shaggy once it opened.

    As a Tech alum I often find it odd that I spend my time on a UT message board, but then again less than 1% of my posts are on the sports boards. I'm primarily here for the jackassery and this place is perfect for that interest.

    Well, now that you mention it I convenient forgot about TexAgs when I wrote that. TexAgs is an exception, much like A&M is an exception.

    BTW, I also have the Spit Blood (TCU) app on my phone and iPad. Those guys are at the low end of fan support and apparently able to make it happen. I'd liken them to Barking Carnival, since I think they're more of a blog, though.

    I'd like to think that there's a demand for a Shaggy version of a Tech board, the only catch is that I've never posted at raiderpower, so I have no idea if there's anyone there who'd be down for it.

    In other news I think horsemeetswall.com is pretty $#@!ing funny. I was a Junior when that happened. The next morning I went to my History of the Crusades course and the professor cracked a joke about it. He was a Stanford PhD so really didn't give a $#@!... and although I can't recall the joke I remember that it was pretty $#@!ing funny. He was also the first person I remember calling Baylor "Jerusalem on the Brazos" ...not that he coined it, I just hadn't heard it before then.
