3-1-1 yesterday, 41-48 overall, -11.8 units
Got lucky with Cle yesterday. Almost bet it at +7.5, but before I could submit it the bet moved to +8 which got me a push.
GS +1.5 - IMO, just a better team than Sac.
Min -1 - At home and playing well.
Cle +5.5 - At home, playing better and 5.5 pts are alot.
NJ +6.5 - On the road, but NY has not been playing dominant ball. Looking at NJ to keep it close.
Was +8.5 - At home getting 8.5 is alot.
Orlando +1
Sac +1
Nj +9.5
2-3 last time, 43-51 overall, -13.1 units
Por PK - Very strong home team.
Hou +6.5 - Den is good, but feel like Hou can keep it close.
SA PK - Mem struggling some and SA playing well lately.
NJ +9 - Chi is good, but 9 pts at home is a big spread.
Tor +4 - Wash really shouldn't be favored over anyone other than Cha even if they are at home.
3-2 yesterday, 46-53 overall, -12.3 units
Uta +9 - Quite possible Ind could win by double digits, but I'll jump on 9 pts with a good team anytime.
Cle +13.5 - Convinced they are better than the public thinks. Recent loss to Mia on road was only by 7.
Phx +7.5 - Mil is decent, but I think they are about the same level. Don't think home court is worth 7.5.
OKC -2.5 - Not loving this, but OKC is just too good. GS is a tough win on the road though.
Golden State +3 (fading my locals #1 nba pick daily- its been hot so why not keep tailing it)
3-1 yesterday, 49-54 overall, -10.4 units
Hou +7.5 - Por tough at home, but Hou is good enough road team to keep it close.
Dal PK - Just playing a feeling. Dal coming off 3 game losing streak and Den lost Galinari.
Min +7.5 - Spread worries me as both teams are about equal. Wondering why its so big.
NO +10 - Terrible team, but home team getting 10 is a lot.
Ind +3.5 - Playing better than Atl right now even if they are on the road.
I like Boston -3.5 vs LAL. According to covers.com the bulk of the money is coming in on the Lakers. Rondo's 3rd game back in the lineup.
3-2 yesterday, 52-56 overall, -9.6 units
Sac +6.5 - Public is heavy on OKC. Sac is actually playing much better lately and they are at home.
Hou +3.5 - I rate Hou as a better team than Phx so although they are on the road, I'll take the points.
GS +6 - Den on a losing streak at home and GS can run with them. Galinari out really hurts Den offense.
Bos -3 - Bos and LA are pretty equal and Bos has won 9 of 10 and playing at home. 3 is a manageable spread.
3-1 yesterday, 55-57 overall, -7.7 units
Not happy about picking a lot of public games today. Hope it doesn't backfire on me.
OKC -1 - Uta regressing and OKC coming off a loss to bad team equals OKC victory even on the road.
LAL -4 - Lin is not THAT good and NY cannot stop Gasol and Bynum in the paint with no Amare or Carmelo.
NO +7.5 - Por is not a great road team. Even though NO is terrible they are at home so give me the 7.5.
Mem -1.5 - IMO these two teams are relatively evenly matched and thus I will take the home team.
Chi -13.5 - Chi is back to full strength with Deng back and will roll Cha even on the road.
you are climbing back up. Does it feel like the league has settled down and games are not so volatile?
3 Team Parlay: Grizzlies, Knicks, Thunder
Need the Thunder to pull this one out for me. Now I get to stress out watching the game...
Honestly, I'm not sure. I can say that I'm looking at spreads/games a little different. I formulate an opinion and then look at the public betting percentages on covers.com like Eddie mentioned and try to decide if it jives. If the whole world is on it then I lean towards staying away more than I used to. I also try to factor in more emotional stuff and I'm realizing that home court advantage is bigger in basketball than in football.
Had a 5 team last night that I missed on the OKC over. So close....
Boston U175
LAL U185
DAL O192
OKC -1
OKC O202
The sucker money on NYK +6.5 tonight is enough for me to hop back on the degnerate train.... Minny tonight.
home teams went 1-7 straight up, with the lone exception the Mavs who had to win in 2OT.
3-2 yesterday, 58-59 overall, -6.9 units
Went 4-1 in College bball yesterday, but ran out of time and didn't get to look at NBA. Anyway, going back to NBA for Sunday.
Tor +6 - LA is not a great road team I've discovered so give me the home team plus a decent sized spread. And, the public is ALL over LA.
Chi -3.5 - Public all over Chi too, but in this case I agree. I think Chi is the best team in the league and will almost always jump on them with a small spread.
Mem -6 - Uta has lost 5 out of 6 and is really not playing well on the road (2-10). Mem with 2 strong home wins recently.
Mia -4 - Atl is a good team, but Mia is a level above them and home court is not a big adv for Atl.
Hou +2 - Hou is playing very well right now with 3 road wins in a row against decent teams. I will follow the trend.
2-3 yesterday, 60-62 overall, -8.2 units
Well, Rose being out hurt me and don't know what happened to Memphis at home.
Phi -11.5 - Huge line on the road, but Cha is really that bad (losses of 25 or more in last 2 home games).
Min +5 - Orl is the slightly better team, but they don't normally blow teams out and I can see Min keeping it close or outright winning.
Mil +6.5 - Mia playing back-to-back away games and travelling from Atlanta, plus Mil has beat them twice this year.
GS -3 - Decent home team and playing much better with Curry back in the lineup.
Uta -4 - Not loving this game, but going to ride the NO is terrible bandwagon and take the small number.
1-4 yesterday, 61-66 overall, -11.6 units
Terrible day yesterday. Should have known better on the Utah game. The others I was just off.
Tor +5 - NY has to come back to earth at some point. Give me the home team with 5 points.
Uta +11.5 - Too big a line for a halfway decent team even against OKC.
Chi -11.5 - Sac playing better and Chi without Rose yet I still feel a blowout coming.
Phx +9 - Denver just not the same team without Galinari. Den wins, but Phx should keep it in single digits.
Was +15 - Port could easily blow them out, but 15 is a big number in the NBA.
2-3 yesterday, 63-69 overall, -12.9 units
So much for getting back on track. Don't know what has happened to Utah and Chi should have won by more.
GS -5 - Good home team vs poor road team and Por just lost Aldridge for a while.
Orl -2.5 - Matchup of two good teams. Give me the home team.
Mem -3.5 - NJ just not playing well at all right now.
Atl -1 - Anytime a better team is playing a worse team I'll take a spread of 3 or less even on the road.
Was +13 - Don't look now but Was has back-to-back comfortable road wins. Not saying they win, but hopefully lose by less than 13.
3-2 yesterday, 66-71 overall, -12.1 units
At one point, I was in line for a 5-0 day, but then GS and Was blew it in the 4th quarter. Bitches.
NJ +8.5 - Both teams struggling mightily, but Ind is on the 3rd of a three-fer with an away game mixed in between. Got to be tired.
Bos +7.5 - Rose is gametime decision, but still ailing. Looking at Boston to bounce back from bad loss yesterday and keep it close.
LAC -2 - Por good home team so should be close, but no Aldridge will make it tough to stop Griffin and co.
I haven't been posting but have had three nights in arrow of hitting small money three teamer
Really like jazz and rockets tonight. Leaning Phil, okc, Mil, and Detroit. I'll prob do a mix of three teasers with Utah being the anchor bet
2-1 yesterday, 68-72 overall, -11.2 units
UT -9.5 - UT is bouncing back tonight I hope against a weak Wash team.
LAL -8 - Good home team. Looking for a blowout here.
Min +5 - Going against Eddie here. Min matches up well against Hou.
Mem -4 - Den still struggling without Galinari. Mem plays well at home.
Cle +9.5 - Irving is back and playing at home. If Mia covers this then they are in full beast mode and can't be bet against anymore.
I'd like to start my own thread but the system will not let me. does anyone know who to contact about this?
Anyway, I'm going to keep a running total of my picks and record once I can figure out to post a thread. When I try to it says I am not authorized.
Anyway, in the NBA I like charlotte +11 and Philly -1. I also like an NHL pick. under 5.5 in the rangers/columbus game. I went 1-1 this morning in soccer.
3-2 last time, 71-74 overall, -10.4 units
Min +3.5 - Continuing to bet against Den with Galinari out. Min should keep it close if not win outright.
LAC -2.5 - GS is a good home team, but LAC is simply a level better than GS thus I'll take the small spread even on the road.
OKC -11 - Even though NO has won three in a row it wasn't against elite level competition. OKC should win easily.
Hou -3 - Matchup of similar teams. I'll lean towards the home team.
Orl -2 - Mil struggling and Orl improving. I'll take Orl even on the road with the small spread. Ilyasova won't go off with Howard in the mix.
Watch out for Houston. They are in a bit of a funk and playing a team they dont match up well with. I like your other plays though. anybody know why I can't post my own thread? do you have to pay something?
posted plays I'm 1-2.
In the NBA I like the Nets +9.5. I'm getting the benefit of the inflated Lin Sanity line. I also like the under the Washington Caps NHL game under 5.5. The Caps have been an under machine lately. I guess I just jinxed myself.
I'd like to know what the Bobcats' record ATS is on the road. Seems like they routinely lose by 20+.
2-0 tonight which is nice.
3-2 on posted plays. I can't start my own thread apparently. Not enough points. For now, I will post here. I've got a couple soccer plays today to keep things interesting this afternoon.
Champions League: Real Madrid -1 at CSKA Moscow. Moscow is at home but they have a lot of players out. Under even conditions, Madrid would win this game about 4-0. But, the game is in Moscow, it is cold as $#@! (24F at gametime probably) and Moscow plays on astroturf so the ball pace will be a little different. Regardless, I can't see Madrid not winning this. The ML is at -245 which is too many here. I see a 2-0 Madrid victory but anyhting can happen. This in only a 1 unit play.
I also like Napoli as a pk v. Chelsea. Chelsea isnt playing like Chelsea and they are on the road in Italy where they never win. This may actually be a blowout.
I'm starting to get back into NBA betting. I've done ok lately but it's not where I want to be. I was 1-1 yesterday winning the Orlando -2.5 bet but losing the OKC -11.5 bet. I thought I had the OkC bet won, but they just stopped trying in the 4th quarter. Wtf...
I like Clev -1.5 vs. Det.
What about San Antonio +4? Portland is favored because they are at home and Aldridge is coming back, but SA has been on fire lately...
3-2 yesterday, 74-76 overall, -9.6 units
Dont love all the lines tonight, but going to take a side on all 5 and hope for the best.
Mem +1 - Taking the home team between two pretty evenly matched teams and Phi struggling some lately.
SA +4 - Riding the winning streak and hoping they at least keep it close.
Cle -1.5 - Evenly matched game. I'll take the home team.
Mia -13.5 - Mia is in full beast mode right now so I will jump on the bandwagon.
NO +11 - Playing much better lately and Ind has come back down to earth lately.
Crazy Night
Had a three teamer with Det +1.5, Sac +13, and Por -3.5
Det covers with a worthless 3 at the buzzer
Sac covers with a late push
and I get to hedge out of portland with SA +7.5 so I have a chance of hitting both sides.
$#@! my bookie. He owed me money today and didn't want to meet up. He gets what he deserves.
Didn't know that Duncan and Parker were sitting or I would have switched to Por. As for Cle and Mia, I was right...just not right enough.
I'm on the Heat tonight large. Heat -9.5
2-3 yesterday, 76-79 overall, -10.9 units
Missed out on some good plays yesterday due to being busy with some stuff. Hopefully, I can make up for it today.
OKC -6 - Good home team and LAL not a great road team. Time to find out of OKC is for real.
Orl -4 - Playing well and Atl missing Horford and JJ. Can't see Atl scoring enough.
SA -3.5 - Hopefully Pop doesn't pull his two best players at the last min again. Otherwise, SA should win.
Mia -9.5 - Going to love watching Mia put a beat down on the Knicks. Mia defense is stifling.
ive bet a 3 team 8 point teaser i really like. OKC +2, Miami -1.5 and the under in the miami game at 211.
3-1 yesterday, 79-80 overall, -9.0 units
Well, we've reached the all-star break and I'm one game under .500 and getting better I think. Too bad the juice is killing me. Looking forward to the 2nd half of the season.
dont give up....is it team chuck or team shaq tonight?
the trade deadline will change the balance of the league. IMO stay away or minimal for 2-3 weeks after the deadline to gauge the new balance of power
I don't see any big trades occuring that will overwhelmingly change any teams unless howard leaves Orlando.
Well...my book was closed so I don't have a home for making bets anymore. Guess I'll just have to stop losing money then.
