I don't know, I wouldn't rule it out, but the guy hasn't finish a Sunday yet.
Who would you give better odds to win a major this year, Tiger or Phil?
lefty going lefty, i love it
lucky tiger with a front row view of it too !
$#@!ing bag of $#@!s in with a chance to win the pro-am. $#@!er.
Tiger needs to polish his short game. Distance control is also off a little bit. I hate that he's using that Nike putter. I'll be in Vegas in late march and my money will be on Tiger at Augusta.
Nobody's afraid of Tiger anymore. That mystique is gone and probably isn't ever coming back.

Phil opened up a full can of whoop ass today. Helluva win.
$#@!. Is Tiger putting with a coal shovel? He looks like Chris Berman out there trying to putt today.
Never thought I'd see the day Where Phil would mind $#@! Tiger like that. Wow.
Official ruling: tiger romo'd himself. He'd be wise to not play a pro-am with him ever again
ohh and great win for lefty. he put on a clinic today. he blew away tiger and dj today.
tiger v lefty masters is going to be some greaaaaaaaaat tv
Final round rematch at Augusta please.
Great round for Phil. I've never been a fan. A lot of the stereotypes about him were true but he seems to have matured some finally. The fact that he's back to the 8802 style blade putter and Tiger is using that horse $#@! Nike says a lot.
I have to say that I am surprised to see Lefty do that as well. I was kind of worried that he may be done with the way he played most of last year. It was disappointing to see Tiger fall apart that way. I would have loved to see him play well with Phil, but he is getting a lot closer.
What could Tiger have possibly have been thinking to ever get rid of his scotty cameron putter? He was lights out with that thing. Was Nike putting pressure on him to have an all Nike bag after other sponsors dropped him the past 2 years? I really don't understand that move.
His putts were terrible yesterday. He has to get rid of that dog$#@! putter.

good stuff, never saw this until today.
' This spring at the Players Championship, Harmon detailed four examples of Woods' slick tricks to CBSSports.com. A few tricks of the trade, Tiger style:
Before large galleries, when on the green, Woods will often putt out first. That means the crowd moves to the next tee while the other player is still finishing the hole, creating an annoying distraction. That ploy wouldn't have worked very well Sunday. Mickelson kept making putts from everywhere.
Woods likes to lag back and get to the tee box second, so that the crowd screams loudest, and last, for him.
Harmon said Woods intentionally walks quickly when playing with slow players and slowly when playing with fast competitors. Most people would never notice.
Harmon said Woods sometimes hits 3-wood off the tee on driver holes, just to make the other player have to stand around for a few minutes. "You have your momentum and adrenaline going, and he slows down and makes you wait," the coach said.'
Phil was out ahead of Tiger and his galley early and often yesterday. I'm liking Phil more and more and hating CBS and the GC for leaving us without live golf for 30+ minutes every Sunday. Fix that $#@!.
I've always liked Phil. He gets it, whereas a lot of other guys on tour don't. He thanked Tiger after his round yesterday and said without him, that he wouldn't be as good of a golfer or as wealthy (not his exact words, but he's said it before). He signs autographs for hours, thanks the volunteers and sponsors, and does countless other appreciative things.
People that say they don't like his grin, etc. need to get over it. He's acknowledging the crowd and his supporters whereas Tiger could care less. It's refreshing to see a guy that's down to earth and is able to grasp the bigger picture. Yes he flies his jet all over the place and he's worth hundreds of millions, but he worked his ass off for it and I can appreciate that.
He's a model family man as well.
Alright, that's enough....
I like watching phil when he's hot and out there just banging it but I have zero doubt he's total $#@!
I've never hated Phil, just didn't care, and you have to admit, the thumbs up he gives the crowd is a bit awkward.
Always like watching him when he's on.
Can you give some examples? I'm not being an a-hole. I am genuinely interested. I like Phil and don't mind the smile and thumbs up stuff because he has always seemed like a nice guy. I have heard people say the same thing you did but I have never read anything specific about those things. I have also heard that he is not well liked on the tour but I am not sure why.
I caddied in his group during a pro am. It was incredible how much he talked about himself. He's a genuinely nice guy but he's just one of those people that doesn't even realize he's bragging on himself. Peter Jacobsen was the other pro (very talkative guy) and he couldn't get a word in all round.
I could give you examples, but I would rather not. I'm in the business and have been for the last 15 years. A lot of hearsay and some personal expereinces with the guy. Dixie brought up the reasons why the other pros can't stand him. Same reason a lot of other pros don't like Jack.
A buddy of mine plays on Tour (csb). He says the FIGJAM nickname is all you need to know about Phil. He also says Bones is a really good dude. He says Tiger is, er was, actually also a pretty good dude (buddy doesn't hold him in high regard any longer).
Here's the thing, though. While Phil may be a $#@! off camera, I will never know because I'm likely never going to get to meet him. I'm only going to know Phil based on what I see on tv and to me he seems like a really good guy. Is it fake? Maybe, but I don't care. I like Phil based on what I see. Same deal with Tiger. While he may actually be a good guy who obvioulsy likes to chase tail, on tv he seems like a jerk. That's my perception of him and I tend not to root for him because of it.
Looking at how Phil has played this year, it is clear that he rose to the media attention of playing on Sunday with Tiger:
His scores for the year are mediocre (by Phils standards), except for what he did on Sunday
+2, -3, -6, -3 (T49 - 14 back)
+5, -4 (Cut)
-3, -1, -4, +2 (T26 - 9 back )
-2, -5, -2, -8 (1)
Tiger on the other hand continued his historical trend of being the ultimate front runner - meaning most of his wins (and I think all of his majors) have come with him leading after 54 holes. I don't know if he presses to hard or tries to make up shots by taking unnecessarily risky shots, but I'm still waiting for Tiger to have a come from behind win on a Sunday in a major.
Also, since Phil outdueled Tiger the media attention dropped the continuing PGA story this year of 54 leaders blowing their lead (Wi had a 3 stroke cushion when he walked off Spyglass Hill on Saturday)
So Mickelson is a $#@!y self-absorbed $#@!? No way, a multi-millionaire super-successful competitor acts like that? I don't believe it.
Then again, I don't really give a $#@! what rumors or hearsay are about these guys' personalities. I don't get into the soap opera bull$#@! of following golf or any sport for that matter. I'll have a personal opinion of these guys as soon as I meet and spend time with them. Which is probably never.
That's exactly why I can still cheer for Tiger. Clearly he is a complete douchebag, but I don't really care. My wife hates this. She can't understand how I can cheer for someone that did the things that Tiger did. I just tell her that 1) it wasn't illegal and 2) it didn't effect me in any way. I don't really care how many skanks he banged. I hope Tiger regains his form. I always pull for Tiger and Phil. i would like to see more of them paired together in final rounds.
Did anyone else see that Tiger is playing the Honda Classic for the first time since his first year in tour? Is he doing a PR tour or is he trying to get in as many competitive rounds as he can before Augusta?
It's his first time ever as a pro. I think you are correct that he is just trying to get in as many rounds as possible. Still don't think it's going to matter if he can't get the mental part down. Swing looks pretty good to me right now.
He's playing in these events now because his sponsors are dictating his schedule more. Before, he could tell everyone he wanted to $#@! off if he didn't want to play because what were they going to do... drop him? There's not as many companies willing to ink a deal with him since the "indiscretions". Plus, although viewership soars when he plays.. he doesn't move as many units for his endorsers as he once did.
he's playing because he needs the rounds to find his old game
Well, I really only "cheer for" two kinds of golfers. Longhorns and the players that aren't supposed to win or have been labeled chokers that can't win, etc. I used to pull for Mickelson constantly, but now that he has some majors I guess I might pull for him if he's in contention at a US Open against a former winner.
Other than that I just watch these guys be awesome at golf.
Right. Because playing 6 1/2 hour rounds on 3 different courses with $#@!ty amateurs has always been right up his alley. If it wasn't about getting ATT back as a sponsor, he would have taken the appearance fee and played in Dubai. Or maybe he just wanted to hang out with Romo, who knows.
Several big names making their 2012 debut at Riviera. I'm hoping Couples can endure 4 rounds and make a nice run at it this weekend.
Although not a fan, I have a sneaking suspicion that this may be Fowler's week. I don't have any other basis for this other than he's a California kid, on a Cali course. It's about time for the Anna Kournikova of golf to win a PGA Tour event to complement the attention and flare he brings. I'm not sure I have seen more "A-Group" premier pairings for a winless player.
As Longhorn, however, my attention is on Jordan Spieth. I would love to see him in contention into the weekend. A superstar in the making.
And now after my bold prediction...Fowler will probably proceed to miss the cut, I'm sure.
