I don't see many head to head battles with OU other than Manning, Ward, and maybe Oliver. Perkins could be, but I think he loves him some Horns
Aggy has to worry much more about decommits than Texas. With a new qb, coaching staff and tougher league they are in the deep end of the pool and better learn to swim quickly.
Everybody relax....I got this. Might take a on a new gig; Consider the rocky mountain pipeline open......

LSU did not offer OL Ishmael Wilson from Dallas(TX) Bishop Dunne today at their Jr Day. Should make it to the Jr Day next weekend now
Les Miles told him he hadn't seen his film yet and that's why he didn't get an offer. Good job Lester.
Tigerdroppings' recruiting board is not pleased.

Too much grass fertilizer?
Les has really been on a roll since the NC game.
It's "Leslie." Let's not sell the man short.

Does Lyles also have one of these "commission only" positions?
Les still working on his game plan for Bama.
BTW, has this been posted?
Dad and Mom played for A&M, and OU just offered his teammate today. Supposedly his family has some sort of connection with Wyatt(?) Paid his own way to 3 or 4 of our games last year.
Anyway, seems like a badass.
Ed McCaffrey clone, who looks to be a coach on the field type, but I'll take him anyday of the week. Wish he had 50 more lbs on him and he could be a Gronkowski.
Love the clips of Oliver blocking. That seems like something that has been lacking the past couple of years.
From the highlights - Oliver is tall but thin. He needs to add some weight. He seems to be fairly fast but not very quick. He has good hands and field awareness.
love the blocking highlights from oliver. could be huge factor in the run/screen game.
Every time he blocks down field in his highlights it is like he is getting into a fight. He really appears to take a lot of pride in being able to physically dominate hie opponent.
Oliver is basically ready to go in every phase of the game. He has terrific hands, runs great routes, has quality college speed, and is an excellent blocker. He will play early and often, so any team in need of an infusion of talent at WR would love to him as a game ready freshman.
I look forward to a Jake Oliver commitment more than any other player this year. Kid's a beast.
Maulerson+Jake Oliver+Kent Perkins+Darius James=Boner Time
the next door neighbor kid wrestled kent perkins last week and we sat next his folks. they said as soon as he gets an offer from UT he is going. kid was wearing a UT sweatshirt. and yes, he whipped the neighbor kid in about 2 minutes, penned him. he is a grown man.
Oliver is a beast. Would love to have him and Perkins commit this weekend
Put 30-40 lbs of muscle on Oliver and I can see him being a great TE (especially with his blocking). Don't see him being able to seperate in D1 as a WR.
yes. got it. apologies.
perkins was really good and i think he has only wrestled 2 years. poor neighbor kid is a soph (6' 250) and perkins was twice his size. fast as hell and had good technique. on a sidenote, rasslin seems to have really taken off around here. at district there were schools with 3 varsity wrestling teams (coppell) and allen recently went to WI and took 4th in a big tourney up north.

I like the way he catches the ball with his hands. When the ball is coming, he gets his hands ready, and he catches the ball with his hands. See that? He caught that ball with his hands. It doesn't get into his chest, he catches it with his hands. No forearms, no shoulders, he catches it with his hands. Here's another look. Watch him catch the ball with his hands. That's exactly how you're coached to catch the ball. You catch the ball with your hands. And this kid catches the ball with his hands.

For those who've truly studied both players (on tape and/or in person), how do Oliver's skill set and overall talent compare to what Cayleb Jones has to offer? On paper, they seem to have pretty similar games. Not that this is a bad thing.
So who are the waiting-to-be-offered commits this year?
Jake Raulerson (done)
Naashon Hughes
Darius James
Kent Perkins
A'Shawn Robinson? (do we offer?)
Ricky Seals-Jones?
How about putting 200 lbs on him and turning him into another Fat Dog? We need another one of those like another tight end.
I would say yes on Hughes, James and Perkins. It seems like every year one or two guys always take a little longer than expected though. I'm not real confident on Robinson. I don't think we'll get him at this point. Hopefully LSU pissed off Wilson enough by not offering that we'll have a real shot at him now. I think we'll get RSJ, but no clue on when.

A'Shawn Robinson isn't likely to be a JD commit. He wants to see some OOS schools. If he stays in state, we're looking like the team to beat right now. It's possible he could be blown away at JD, but a commitment is not expected.
Isiah Golden is apparently not coming to JD after his A&M commitment. If we really want him, it looks like an uphill dogfight - it's aggy so we have a chance to flip him. If Manning commits though, we may just pass since we're limited on schollies.
