Raulerson may one day put Tebow on his ass. That's IF Tebow's still around by the time Raulerson dons an NFL jersey. Tat kid is a baddass!!! Welcome to the 40 Jake!
Yeah, after watching that video I'd be down for "Clubber" or "Clubber Lang" as HR's nickname. Spot on. That's a $#@!ing man, man.
Looks like dad could suit up and give us a few plays.
SIAP: video interview of Maulerson
This is more the type of guy we want than soft babies like David Snow. Dude exudes tons of confidence and is determined to win a national title. $#@! yeah.
Cochran, Riser, Flowers, Estelle, Hughes, Perkins, James, Raulerson (if he's on offense), not to mention if we are able to land Wilson or Robinson. That's some serious talent.
Raulerson is monster, but does anyone else think he looks a little clumsy at times? Kid needs to improve his footwork so he's not falling all over himself at times
This kid is pretty funny. Saw this on 247 from someone who follows him on Twitter
Jake Raulerson @JakeRaulerson55
It's a longhorn Christmas... On the 5th day of longhorn.. Bevo gave to me... ONE Kyle hicks! On the sixth day of longhorn Bevo gave to me..?
People replied back speculating RSJ
This kid is going to be a great OL. If you guys need depth on the D line play him there some the first year but this is a guy that can lead a Oline to great things.
“It’s pretty amazing when you think about it,” said his father, Jay Raulerson. “He has a deviated septum, tonsils the size of golf balls and he can’t breath through his nose and never has. One of his friends calls him Darth Vader because he can’t get any air through his nose.
“He doesn’t sleep. So the doctors said to not be surprised if he gains 20 or 30 pounds once he starts breathing because you grow at night.”
It should also increase his energy, which, for a player known for having a nonstop motor, could be a scary thing for future opponents.
“What’s amazing is he plays 100 plays a game and the doctors said his energy and stamina should increase significantly,” Jay said. “Someone goes, ‘To what?’ He’s excited. You always dread surgery. But he is excited about the potential because he saw the difference it made in his sister.”
Looks like the kid tears it up on and off the field.
holy smokes, that level of trim can be found in celina?
Is he recruiting her to Texas too? I see no reason he should restrict himself to recruiting football talent for the university.
Had to post this. Man crush on Jake, can't wait for him to wreck shop in the Big 12/14/16.
Check out the quick battle between Prevot and Raulerson in the clip from this link.
Apparently Raulerson is still not back to 100% but still, I could see those 2 pushing each other for the next 4 years
In case anyone wants to discuss what position Raulerson will play...
Excellent bump. I wonder what position Raulerson will play.
He'll play every single position known to man. He'll never come off the field...ever.
I think he will RS and play Oline, (center or tackle) unless we don't get another DE this class. He really likes playing defense and could be a good SS DE, but I think his NFL paycheck is probably at center. He is already up to 260 as of the Atlanta camp so he might get to 280s by next fall. Will be interesting to see how much the surgery helped, there is a lot of controversy over how much it helps and it depends on the person, but I would be willing to bet it helps him put on some serious muscle/weight by next year.

He gained a lot of weight due to surgery. His 'normal weight' should still be considered 250.
Russell Okung was 250 pounds coming out of high school, as was D'Brickashaw Ferguson. Both wound up top 10 draft picks.
I have no idea what position Raulerson will play (nor do I really care so long as he plays it in burnt orange), but the idea that his current size will prohibit him from playing OL is comical.
There are a lot more guys that don't pan out than there are Russel Okungs and Jordan Grosses. It's not comical at all to think he stalls out at 270 or something, especially considering that he isn't exactly underdeveloped as it is.
He's not going to be a top 10 pick at tackle. I hate having to be the guy that does this because I think he's going to be excellent, but I also think we as a group need to tone it way the f down on this guy,
Dawson played baseball and football (both offense and defense) in high school and was a little lighter than Raulerson when he came to UT. He started after the first few games of his freshman year. He was an all american weighing about 270 his Jr and Sr seasons. He played at that weight for the St. Louis Cardinals and gained some all pro recognition before he tore his achilles. When he came to the Oilers, he was told that he had to weigh 300 to start. He started but was not as good of an athlete at that weight (especially after a couple of achilles injuries). The Oilers would have been better if he was allowed to play at a lighter weight.
Dan Neil played came to Texas at 265lbs and played in the pros at 285.
Raulerson will have no problems playing in the interior line if he has the same athleticism and work ethic as those 2 players.
I'm not sure if it's just that he's highly ranked or what, but he's not in the realm of size/athleticism as the Kent Perkins/Estelle Kennedy types Texas is targeting now. warmfront is more in the ballpark. Stop thinking Orlando Pace and start thinking Dan Neil.
im digging this kid, he is what ever kid at texas needs to be like, loud proud and ready to kill
