I agree, I believe wins is 1/6 pitching stats, and 1/12 overall. sure, it's subjective (just like saves, and even rbis if you want to go that far), but it's an important stat in baseball, and in fantasy baseball. for every 8ip, 1er no decision, you'll get a 5ip, 5er trash win. it evens out, and that's what makes it unpredictable and fun.

like someone said a few pages ago that i reacted to, "i got royally $#@!ed tonight, because 2 of my pitchers went 8ip each allowed 2 total er, struck out 16, and their closers blew saves, so i didn't get the wins." and i'll say now what i said then - if your starting pitcher gives you dominant numbers in era, whip and strikeouts, then they're doing their job, and no one got royally $#@!ed. sometimes if i have trash closers, i'll replace them with setup guys that snatch wins. it's part of fantasy baseball.

and i have no idea what 1/2 points means, since we're not playing in a head to head points league. if you guys are suggesting replacing wins with quality starts, then bring it up at the end of the year and we'll vote. personally (after playing in a h2h points league for 15 years which included qs), i am not a fan. i'd rather a pitcher go 8ip, and give up 4er than go 6ip and give up 3er. one is a quality start, and the other has a better era. go figure.

as for derka and eyes, what the $#@!? a trade for an injured player almost went through and didn't. there shouldn't be any friction over anything. just because derka is involved in the occasional fracas doesn't make them all his fault. lighten up and get it together.

by the way, the point of my initial reply to BigOrange was simply that stating what your W-L-T versus opponents at this point in the season means nothing. he should be bragging that he is in the top half of 9 of the 12 categories. that's the proof that his and derka's teams are as good as their record indicates, despite the weakness of their schedules.

CSB alert. but same thing happened to me on my NBA fantasy team this year. so many injuries i had to scratch and claw to get back in the playoff hunt. Got healthy with 5 weeks to go and ran train on every opponent from there on out to win the title. Keep faith alive bro. /end of CSB

Rulings question. Mike Carp just came off the DL. Can I keep him that DL spot indefinitely or until I make room for him? I can't remember the rules around managing DL folks once they come off the DL and I can't find anything about it in the league rules.
