Is he a good QB developer? Was Leach. His QB's completed a gazillion passes. Where are they? He caught lightning in a bottle with Griffin. Kudos to him. What was his record before Griffin? This years recruiting class was mediocre. Maybe thats good by baylor standards, but I'm not that impressed. This may just be one of those "wait and see" situations.
At Houston, as has already been mentioned, he's the guy that recruited Case Keenum. I'd say that was pretty good. The guy before that was Kevin Kolb. You've probably heard of him. That's a pretty good track record on quarterbacks. As far as his record at Baylor before Griffin - there isn't one. Griffin came in with him, was originally committed to Houston when Briles was there.
You'd be better off doing just a tiny bit of research before running your mouth.

I say we hang him, then we shoot him. Here's my bold prediction: We win the Big XII, unless we don't.
Also, to win some games against good teams, Ash will need to make some plays, so at some point he will need to be more than just manager if Texas is to get over this hump. My prediction for 2012 will be a 10-3 11-2 type of season with a good bowl showing. Realistic given the schedule.
I was at the last RRR, and OU had over 300 yards of offense by halftime...they even scored twice more but those two tds were called back by penalty, so they just lined up and scored again...they converted some godawful 3rd and Infinite play...it wasn't just that UT's D was put in bad positions, UT has assumed the position that day...bs
As a loyal fan of our Longhorns, I can't help but be optimistic. Who cares if we must rely on young players. There are many reasons why they are on the field.....
3. Strong run defense numbers
Texas ranked first in the Big 12 in rush yards and rush yards per game allowed, and second in rush yards per attempt allowed. They were also one of only seven teams to allow fewer than 100 rush yards per game on average.
I think baylor and OSU will certainly drop off a bit, and TCU has bit off more than can chew. KSU and WVU will be formidable opponents. And I think we can contend for second in this league, but Mack Brown is not usurping Bob Stoops this season. In fact, I am betting that Mack goes 1-4 in his last 5 seasons against Bob Stoops.
8-4 or worse and head(s) will $#@!ing roll!
Texas brings back pretty much all their playmakers on that side of the ball, and all of them were underclassmen for the most part. OU cannot say the same. Texas did all this in the first year of a new scheme. It's pretty obvious to think they will improve in that system, as they mature as players. OU will be changing their defense with Mike Stoops taking over a unit that is not even VAGUELY as talented as the Texas roster on defense. Hell our DL and DBs are light years better, and I'd wager our LBs are better as well. Of course, the stats from last season tell that story anyway. There is not ONE logical reason to believe OU's defense will be top 50, but there is plenty to suggest Texas' will be top 10.
So either you really are completely ignorant, or a troll, but most likely both. If you're going to post here, at least have a clue what you're talking about. Do us all a favor and don't bother to reply or post again.
