i can share some general things i hear from him. i pushed him to do the camps and hit the circuit hard to get chance at more early offers so he would maximize options. so he knows a lot of the other recruits including some 2013 guys we all talk about - and i went with him to a few as well. there is definitely more buzz to a&m recruiting, but i don't think it is because the SEC as many ags would believe. i think some of the players think the SEC thing is being laid on too thick and the negative recruiting as well. but the players really do like sumlin, he is a hell of a recruiter that can relate to the kids. i think that has been the difference more than anything.

Guys I talked to didn't mention any negative recruiting from Sumlin directly, so can't really comment on that. Most of their exposure at this point is with position coaches showing interest and talking at being in mix for offer since most '14 guys - and it is recurrent theme from some of those guys they negative recruit Texas pretty much every time they talk.
I know a couple of the guys that talked to Sumlin or got to meet him on unofficial visits or events, and they all really like the guy. I have no doubt he will be able to recruit after hearing what they have said.
Why the $#@! are we still being mentioned by those pussies? Get the $#@! on with yourself.
More concerns about Daeshon Hall
So, the trips to Baylor and Texas A&M were major red flags for Lancaster defensive end commit Daeshon Hall, who is certainly best categorized as a soft pledge at this point, but there may be more. Scipio Tex was tipped off about some rumblings around the Pacific Northwest that the Hall family could be headed back in that direction, which could seriously open up his recruitment.
Not time to panic, but time for continued serious concern, as defensive end recruiting in this class could quickly become a major issue.
I think this is why we have recently gotten more involved with Mike Williams. DH appears to be gone for some odd reason.
Dump him and go after that lb what's his name? Mike Mitchell?
Damn and I was looking forward to a 6'6" pass rushing Bennie Wylie surprise.
really hope we can hang on to the kid. I thought he would end up being the late-riser of the class.
plus, lancaster is loaded w/ 2014 talent.
There is a good DE out of Louisiana who we should be in on. Tennessee has a verbal from a very good JUCO. We need to broaden our net.
I hate to be the one to say it but Daeshon Hall decommited.
Well $#@!, I'm hearing :( thoughts on Daeshon Hall.
I'd wait till a reputable source has confirmed it.
Come on down, Prevot. Sucks we lost Hall though, I could see him turning into a beast like the 6'6" DE outta mizzou with the 49ers now
Didn't like his future behind Ridgeway and Davis?
Texas side: He's looking at USC, Oregon, Washington - wants west coast
Aggie : He's looking at Notre Dame, Washington, Aggie & WVU
This may sound like I'm bitching bc he de committed , but I didnt think he was all that. I don't think Prevot is all that great either.
Hall had a failing grade, and so does one more of our commits.

Huhn can play some football... whether it's at Olb or Safety is the question
I like Hall as a player. At the time we were getting raw, big athletes like Swoopes, RSJ, and Hughes and Hall fit right in. If you are going to take a flyer do it with someone like Hall who can hit it big if he develops.
Per Jeff Howe, Hall's parents are getting back together and are going to live in Seattle. That would explain the UW rumors. You can't blame him for wanting to be close to his family.
Someone needs to let Hall's dad know getting back together is a huge mistake. And then tell him his son needs to be a Horn.
