I think of her as a little more physically imposing - just stunning and radiating power. It's early, though, and I wasn't sure about Catelyn at first either. I ended up really liking her as Season 1 progressed.

Not quite, he does have a series of graphic novels called the Dunk and Egg series which takes place before AGoT, but not by much

He doesn't show up till the end of Book 2. The reveal of who he is isn't until book 3 but I don't see how they change him that much that the viewer doesn't instantly get who he was.

I dunno... these are the same idiots who couldn't figure out that Gendry was both the blacksmith's apprentice and the guy heading to the wall with Arya

Damn. $#@! whoever wrote that. Pissed off cause this show called "Game of $#@!ing Thrones" has to many people seeking the throne? What did they want from an HBO drama?

Horns04 and I were talking about the emphasis on Robb's storyline versus how he was only shown through the eyes of Cat in the books. They are going to make him the main Stark character and his beefed up story will draw more people in. I can't wait for the Red Wedding to be on TV and read the non-book thread on here.

I just watched e2.. good stuff.. I won't post spoilers (IRONY)... but they stick to the books very well - though I forget what happens when in the books ... pretty sure some of it is pushed forward. Makes sense considering the timeline of how some of it drags out, but also makes me wonder if the HBO guys realize how $#@!ing slow Martin is

On Shae, I thought Tyrion set her up away from the keep on a hill in the fleabottom. It certainly looked the part until Tyrion mentioned Ned stayed there. That confused me. Wut up?

Watched the season premiere with a bunch of friends and the two of us that know how to read laughed when Theon said he was raised by Ned Stark to be a man of honor. It went right over everyone else's heads. They didn't even know who Theon was. Thought he was another one of the Starks.

Rewatching season 1 this weekend during the marathon, and I picked up on how the maester at Winterfell kept giving him a hard time for being a hostage. Didn't notice that the first season (and I read the books).

The show never talks about how Stannis helped Jon Arryn with the investigation. I don't think they even mention that Stannis used to be in Kings Landing.

Yeah, I know they can't put every twist and turn in the show. I just couldn't remember that detail. I was thinking Stannis made a comment at some point - to Cat, maybe? - about Ned never doing him any favors, not realizing Ned died trying to put Stannis on the throne.

Stannis got Dragonstone for his help during the rebellion, he expected to get Storm's End and was pissed because of that. He was on the small council before Jon Arryn got killed and fled when he was murdered

Stannis was given Dragonstone by Robert after the revolt. Stannis didn't like it because he wanted Storm's End. He left King's Landing after Jon Arryn was poisoned.
