Massive vagina. You know what that thing has been through.
I know I'm in the minority here, but I'm not sure if I'm completely on board yet with the casting for Melisandre.
I always pictured that hot red head from True Blood.....or Faye Reagan.

Yeah when the Barristan Selmy reveal finally comes, they'll be asking where Whitebeard went three episodes later.
Ned walks into King's Landing and becomes king. Rob takes over Winterfell and Jon becomes a whitecloak. End of series. 10 hours and every person on the planet who has read the books cancels HBO and spends the rest of their days writing hate mail to George Martin.
The NY Times review is awful. People like that are why most tv sucks.
tempted to troll the other thread
they wouldn't get it anyways
Oh my God, Robb's a werewolf.

someone been leakin to muffian?
Horns04 and I were talking about the emphasis on Robb's storyline versus how he was only shown through the eyes of Cat in the books. They are going to make him the main Stark character and his beefed up story will draw more people in. I can't wait for the Red Wedding to be on TV and read the non-book thread on here.
I picture this happening:
I just watched e2.. good stuff.. I won't post spoilers (IRONY)... but they stick to the books very well - though I forget what happens when in the books ... pretty sure some of it is pushed forward. Makes sense considering the timeline of how some of it drags out, but also makes me wonder if the HBO guys realize how $#@!ing slow Martin is
does roz look pregnant to anyone else? she isn't pregnant in the books....
This show is not going to be for 99% of the publics emotions. It will be different than anything that they loved before and for the "tvformula" addicts will probably send them to the loony bin. Which is where they should be anyway.
On Shae, I thought Tyrion set her up away from the keep on a hill in the fleabottom. It certainly looked the part until Tyrion mentioned Ned stayed there. That confused me. Wut up?
^that bugged me too.
I'm to lazy to look it up. Does he hide Shae first, or is it after his father finds out? Isn't there a period when the Spider finds out and she is using the passages? In the future I know he hides her in the keep as a handmaid.
Did someone already call the other thread the Center for Kids Who Can't Read Good?
Seriously if spoilers bother you that much read a $#@!ing book.
Watched the season premiere with a bunch of friends and the two of us that know how to read laughed when Theon said he was raised by Ned Stark to be a man of honor. It went right over everyone else's heads. They didn't even know who Theon was. Thought he was another one of the Starks.
Yea, they have had to drop then hints since beginning of season one and people still aren't going to get it. People I saw it with said, what the deal with that guy? That's Robs brother right? Jeeze people
they should rename that thread "GoT thread for posting questions that you don't want answered"
It's okay NL. I have a question I want answered. So, in episode 1 Stannis refers to the message Ned sent him before he died. I was thinking that, in the books, he never received Ned's message and didn't realize Ned had been working to secure the throne for him. Am I misremembering that? Stannis knew that Joffrey and co. were Jaime's kids without Ned telling him - that's why he left King's Landing for Dragonstone in the first place.
yeah I had that impression too... they probably put that in there to dumb it down a notch for the non readers
I'd also like to point out that it is virtually impossible to not spoil people in the other thread when they don't even pay attention to the current episode.

I thought John aryyn tried to get stannous to help and Robert basically gave him dragonstone to get him out of kings landing
Yeah, I know they can't put every twist and turn in the show. I just couldn't remember that detail. I was thinking Stannis made a comment at some point - to Cat, maybe? - about Ned never doing him any favors, not realizing Ned died trying to put Stannis on the throne.
Stannis got Dragonstone for his help during the rebellion, he expected to get Storm's End and was pissed because of that. He was on the small council before Jon Arryn got killed and fled when he was murdered
From A Wiki of Ice and Fire:
re: Stannis Baratheon:
Prior to the events of A Game of Thrones, Stannis suspected that the children of Queen Cersei Lannister were not actually Robert's. He confided his suspicions to Lord Arryn, and they investigated the matter together. Stannis did not bring his suspicions to Robert, as he knew Robert would not believe the charges coming from him (Robert had no love for his brother Stannis, and Stannis would be seen as making himself heir), but would listen if the charges came from Jon Arryn whom Robert loved. They visited several of Robert's baseborn children in the city and Stannis pointed out that all had black hair and they looked like Robert, while Lord Jon consulted the book The Lineages and Histories of the Great Houses of the Seven Kingdoms of past marriages of Noble Houses and discovered the same was true: whenever a Baratheon wed, their sons and daughters would have black hair, even if the other parent was a golden-haired Lannister.
After determining that the children were in fact not Robert's, Lord Jon meant to act and even planned for his son Robert Arryn to be fostered with Stannis on Dragonstone. However, Lord Arryn was poisoned before he could bring the evidence before Robert.
