Wrinkled clothes out of the dryer...

Ok so every time I wash my clothes I be sure to take them straight out of the washer and put them right into the dryer. My dryer has the automatic setting and I put it on "More Dry" and as soon as it is done I get my $#@!ing clothes out and they are almost always wrinkled to $#@!. Like 80% of the time. The other 20% of the time I'm like halle-$#@!in-lujah but I can't figure out what I did differently.

Anyways, if any of you know, or if your wives know, or your sister or some $#@!, please help a brother out.

    Oh, I hate wrinkled clothes.

We put up a line in our garage (can't have one in the yard ). Pull the shirts/skirts/dresses/non-dry-clean dress pants out while still slightly damp, put 'em on hangers and and hang on the line. No wrinkles.

We don't worry about getting most anything else out before they're dry except some of our pants or most of the wife's/daughter's skirts/dresses.

Might have to try this... Don't the clothes smell a little funny though? Mildew-ish?

Have you tried dryer sheets? Or those fancy new bars (not sure what they're called, but they kind of look like a bar of soap) that attach to the inside of the dryer?

Are you putting in too may clothes to dry?

Use the casual setting instead. Lower heat usually than normal and lower spin speed. Take them out when damp and hang them up. There's no bad smell and you shouldn't be taking them out wet, just damp. If you have a shirt that's wrinkled and dry you can toss that in the dryer with a damp washcloth and let it spin for 10 minutes or so and that will take many of the wrinkles out. And yeah, you may be overloading the dryer but taking things out damp and hanging them is really the best thing.

Nope. They actually make the garage smell better. We also -use fabric softener sheets in the dryer, but they don't keep wrinkles away if you let the clothes get all the way dry. If it's really humid out, we let the clothes get pretty much (but not completely) dry before hanging them up.

Our washer and dryer are in the garage, which is part of the reason we started doing this. We figured you have to put stuff on hangers anyway, which is why we put up the line originally, just to be a place to hang clothes until we took them in. Then we found out that hanging stuff up helped keep the wrinkles away...

Dry fewer clothes at a time. I dry my shirts 4 at a time and they come out looking fine. More than that, not so much. Less than that, they sometimes spend the entire dryer cycle hunged up against one of the fins inside the dryer and come out wrinkled as $#@!.

Make sure that you shake the clothes before you put them in the dryer. When the clothes come out of the washer they are usually bunched up. Just make sure that jeans legs and shirt sleeves aren't bunched up and you should be good.

So my plan right now is to do small loads and add this step before drying... Will let you all know the results because I know you can't $#@!ing wait.

ask your mom... or someone's mom if your mom isn't any good at it (or if she's "unavailable")

seriously, though, most of the responses in this thread are correct... don't just pull'em out of the washer and throw'em in the dryer... shake'em out, put'em in the dryer, dry them on medium, not "more dry" and don't put too much in the dryer at once... and iron instead of looking like a slouch...
