The only reasons I posted it are as follows; it's new information, it's relevant with respect to what's been presented by TM's parent's lawyers about the witness relative to what might be reality and it supports my argument about GZ being charged with murder 2 for political reasons. But you want Martin to have made every effort to get home as if that would solve all his issues. Kid, I'm not "protecting" GZ. I'm pointing out that TM's parents and lawyers may be lying and that it may have led to phony, trumped up charges being filed against GZ. He very may well be guilty of manslaughter or negligent homicide according to the laws of the state of FL, but if he's not, he doesn't deserve to go to jail just because a young man is tragically dead.

These are allegedly the phone records provided by TMobile to TM's dad. The times are in PST. If these are accurate, he wasn't on the phone with her as TM's lawyers and parents have stated. If she wasn't on the phone with him, then all of her "testimony" has been fabricated.

She was never at the hospital...all of that has been made up by TM's lawyers. She is dating another guy and makes that clear in her prior twitter posts.

Facts:
- Trayvon Martin was walking home carrying Skittles and ice tea.
- George Zimmerman was armed and licensed to be armed.
- George Zimmerman called police to report Trayvon Martin as suspicious.
- George Zimmerman followed Trayvon Martin.
- Police told George Zimmerman to stop following Trayvon Martin.
- Neighbors called 911 upon hearing a fight and screaming.
- Trayvon Martin was shot to death.
- George Zimmerman was the shooter.
These are indisputable. These do not require witness or expert testimony to understand.
Police most certainly did NOT tell GZ to stop following TM. A dispatcher shared that they "didn't need him to do that."
Even if everything you said above had been true (which I will grant you the rest of it as undisputed truth, even though the part about GZ following TM can only be proven at the beginning of the encounter), these facts alone don't make GZ guilty of anything in the eyes of the state of FL.
That's an incredibly stupid argument to make in front of a jury. What's the practical difference between a dispatcher telling him they (read: state authorities) "didn't need him [to follow]" and someone saying "stop following"? That's a stretch to parse language when the intent is the same. Additionally, I'm going to venture a guess that you don't have a complete grasp of what needs to be proven for second degree murder in Florida. I'm guessing the defense attorney will refer to the actual 911 transcript, where Zimmerman says "OK" when they tell him he "doesn't need to do that".

Actually, there's a pretty big difference between a police officer telling someone not to do something and a dispatcher saying something like, "We don't need you to do that."
Also, most of the attorneys that have posted on this thread have already conceded that unless there's some significant new evidence that comes out, there's no way Murder2 is going to stick.
There sure are going to be a lot of bloodthirsty liberals turned capital punishment supporters when this guy walks.
Why aren't the civil rights advocates up in arms about the white guy who was attacked, de-pantsed, and robbed in Baltimore by a groups of black guys while others looked on and even filmed?

People aren't pissed off that a white(ish) person shot and killed a black person. People are pissed off that the police didn't bother actually sufficiently investigating the shooting death of a black person because a white guy claimed self defense, despite suspicious circumstances warranting further investigation. And those same people are pissed off that a good segment of the population has essentially said "good for Zimmerman, one less nigglet" and refuse to admit that a crime likely occurred, or at the very least that Zimmerman acted very irresponsibly.

The country is so amazingly polarized that even issues that should be fairly simple, i.e. the killing of a teenaged boy, get turned into media scrums and political fodder for both political parties.
My parents believe that this entire thing is a concoction by the "liberals" to try and get Stand Your Ground overturned. I argue that nobody would willingly give their son away for such a political endeavor, but more to the point, is it possible that the SYG law as it is currently written might not be a good law? SANFORD, Fla. -- George Zimmerman was released around midnight Sunday from a county jail on $150,000 bail as he awaits his second-degree murder trial for fatally shooting Trayvon Martin.
The neighborhood watch volunteer was wearing a brown jacket and blue jeans and carrying a paper bag. He met a man in a white vehicle and drove away. His ultimate destination is being kept secret for his safety and it could be outside Florida.
That's a pretty detailed description of what he was wearing and what the car looked like. I'm surprised they didn't give out the license plate number of the car he was traveling in.

Oh, come one, Numbers is just playing devil's advocate, he has not decided any firm beliefs in this matter; he's open to both sides, with just a slight lean toward Zimmerman because of the facts and evidence he's seen. Right? I mean, I think that's what he keeps posting...
Numbers posted that link for the same reason he has been rambling about this entire thread, his general discontent with race issues, the media, and of course his self appointed position as "devil's advocate." I'm sure Brisket's post wasn't aimed solely at the link posted by Numbers, but rather his general demeanour throughout this thread. He states that he is neutral and undetermined, but his every post is contrary to that position. His primary goal appears to be to attack the very idea that racism may still exist in some form or fashion in this country, yet ironically he serves only to prove the point. He pontificates on legal matters with the certaintity of an omni-potent expert, yet he barely possesses even a layman's understanding of law. His posting style is abrasive, demeaning, and patronizing.
I'm not even sure how Rocko's earlier post is relevant to Numbers post. The position was suggested by Wildcat that [some] people are mainly interested in protecting Zimmerman due to their own racist proclivities. You asked for evidence that such people existed. Rocko provided said evidence. In the large scheme of things, the fact that racists, bigots, and idiots are present on both sides of the debate is completely irrelevant to the specific discussion about Zimmerman and Travon.
The issues, as I see them:
1) Is Zimmerman guilty of some form of criminal misconduct?
2) Did the DA/Police fail to adequately perform their duties in regard to their initial handling of this case?
3) If the answer to 2) is a yes, was race a factor in that failure?
and possibly 4) if the answer to 2) is no, why did this case garner nationwide attention? Is race a factor? Is media misconduct to blame?
Numbers' posts indicate that he lets his feelings about (4), color [control] his perceptions of 1-3. These questions should be dealt with separately. E.g. Zimmerman may not be guilty of misconduct, but that does not mean that DA/police aren't guilty of misconduct. When people conflate these issues together, you end up with the vitriolic, pointless, name calling we've seen in this thread.
