Jordan Clarkson averaged 16.5 ppg for Tulsa and was looking around when the coach was canned.. can't find anything on him still looking around after they hired danny manning.. he would start here for us if he transfered.. he is THAT good.. he's 6'4 and has improved every season at Tulsa..

i think signing Holland was important.. Barnes can't put everything in the "hope we sign Pollard" basket then come up empty.. also, he probably got word texas was a longshot and decided to sign a good 4 year basketball player in Holland.. i think it's a good pickup by barnes.. I've seen Holland play when i went to watch Ibeh.. he is good enough to play at texas and he looks like he could grow some more.. i think he will be a great Longhorn over the course of 4 years!

I saw Tulsa play twice last year (when they played Memphis) Clarkson is solid, woud be a really nice addition, not a great ball handler, but he was effective in short spurts running the point, good shooter, but I think he be the starting 2-guard from day one.

Really hope this transfer happens.

That is perhaps the most delusional and schizo fanbase I've ever seen. Before the announcement, they were convinced he was coming to UK and would be the second coming of MJ. As soon as he announces, they turn on him like a pack of wolves, and claim he is completely over-rated. Never really had any interface with Kentucky fans. I think I'll keep it that way.

I heard that Prince Ibeh was the MVP of the ballislife All-Star game. Is it possible that some on here are too hard on him? I find it hard to believe that a 7 foot Center with shot blocking ability, who found a way to get 20 and 10 in an All-Star and get ranked as a top 100 player by every site.... would somehow be a stiff.

If he contributes anything before his junior year other than handing out water bottles and garbage time minutes I'll be shocked. I would be highly surprised to see him stay for four years without being given his walking papers. I can see him playing in the SWAC before his career is done unless a miracle occurs once he steps on the 40 Acres. Rick would deserve a lifetime contract if he can develop that kid into an integral part of the rotation.

Very athletic. I haven't seen but 2 videos of him, this being one of them. But the defenders were standing around watching. I'd like to see what sort of moves he has to get himself a clear path to that basket to show off that athleticism

I'm not basing that off of anything they've said. This is the kind of player UCONN typically recruits. Raw big men that are crazy athletic. His high school team plays a grind it out style of basketball. He isn't going to look great in that setting at this stage of the game. You have to see past that to understand what type of player Texas is getting.

I saw a guy that averaged 9 points and 8 rebounds a game that's 6'11". The kid is a project and Rick and his staff will get a slew of compliments from me on this board if they develop him into a rotation player. Hopefully Barnes can develop him into at least that.

man i hope Ibeh does that next year.. unfortunately all u have to do is watch a college to see that unless you are Anthony Davis u are not gonna be getting dunks all game.. plus Ibeh has no jumper or post moves so he can't really set his defender up to blow past him for a dunk like anthony davis.. I will say this about the kid and tell u the reason he is rated 4 stars by rivals.. he is one of the best shot blockers i've seen in person in like 5 years.. Ibeh has amazing timing and blocks EVERYTHING.. i know it's high school, but that will be what gets him playing time next year is his defense..

Naaman Forrest's leading scorer only scored 11 ppg so take that into consideration when talking about Ibeh's 9ppg. The fact is Naaman Forrest's style of play would've put Bo Ryan to sleep. Beyond that, let's not behave as though Rick has ever asked his post players to do anything more than rebound, block shots, crash the boards, and make put backs. Outside of the few times we've had elite post players with legitimate post moves (In my eyes only Mihm, PJ, Klotz, and Tristan qualify as even Lamarcus was more of a jump shooter who crashed the boards than a true post player with a back to basket game) our bigmen aren't asked to do a whole lot in the post offensively. All this hemming and hawing about a 6'10" to 6'11" athlete who can run the floor and jump out of the gym is $#@!ing ridiculous to me. We've literally never had anybody like this in the 20+ years I've been watching UT basketball. Aldridge, while infinitely more skilled, is not quite the run and jump athlete that Ibeh is. And that is not even factoring in his purported 7'7" wingspan.
