Just saw that headline. My hats off to the man. I don't know how it works in Texas with elementary school and junior high. But growing up in Chicago, you went from elementary school to junior high between your 5th and 6th grade years. There are a couple of guys still playing from when I was in junior high (namely, Vizquel). But only one guy from when I was in elementary school still-1986. And that is Jamie Moyer. It's insane to me that the guy I watched play for the Cubs, the guy I brought in for relief in RBI Baseball on Nintendo is going to take the mound one more season at age 49. I think that's freakin' awesome. To be 50 years old and to know that you spent the MAJORITY of your life as a major league baseball pitcher (and a pretty damn good one, HR's allowed aside). What a tale to tell...
