    School color (purple) with school initials on it (TCU). I can dig it. Nice, simple, and makes sense. Seems all they did is lose the horny toad, which they started doing last year I think. Better than some of the crap others schools are coming up with like the Boise horsehead taking up the whole damn helmet, or the Maryland monstrosities.

    At least it doesnt say "Texas Horned Frogs" on their field like A&M's did/does. I like the matte purple look the most. Hopefully they'll wear those to commence their losing ways in the B12.

    The new TCU helmet shown above appears to be semi-translucent, which allows you to see the netting inside the shell that holds/suspends the cushioning.

    By definition uniforms need to have some sort of constant. If they continuously change they become costumes. In the short-term, you might drive jersey sales or attract athletes, but you lose your identity, brand and tradition. The Oregon Ducks may have transcended this, because they are the trend-setters and are synced with Nike. Schools like TCU will get lost in the noise.
