    Free 17" 1977 Glastron boat with trailer. Austin

    I have been tasked with getting rid of this boat. The outdrive is shot but I know a guy who has one and said he would sell me the part and install it for $400. I just dont have the time and energy for a project like this. The previous owner babied this thing, he highlighted the manual, etc. I have the repair books etc on it. I would think the parts or the trailer would be worth the damn gas to come pick this thing up.

    Its 17" feet

    How $#@!ed is the motor cradle? if its not rotting and cracked up, this is a good "buy". on the other hand, if it is ready to let the motor fall out of it, its just trash. I am thinking its just trash because of the price tag.

    yeah, I really should of thought this through before putting infront of the $#@!s on the shag. Yeah, its not 17 inches, excuse my use of the wrong punctuation.

    I just need to get rid of it. I tried putting a $100 or $200 tag on it because the stigma attached to something that is free, but I dont care at this point.

    The motor is fine, just needs an outboard fixed. I will just put it up on craigs, somebody will want it.

    bb76, could be a really slick looking boat. would take tons of money and effort though, and probably not the kind of money and effort most people are willing to put into a 77 glastron inboard....

    Advertise it for free, but then charge the guy $1 so that you can give them a bill of sale. Don't know all the laws, but it releases you from some sort of liability if they actually purchase it from you, rather than you giving it to them.

    taxes are based off of an assumed blue book value. whoever takes it will have have to pay the same taxes no matter how much or how little he pays for it. unless it is gifted, then there are no takes i believe

    I'd be interested if you do decide to get rid of it. I've got a current 1975 glastron project I'm working on and I could use the trailer and some of the parts.
