According to the Spanish newspapers Guardiola is going to announce that he won't be coming back to Barcelona next year. Tomorrow an announcement will be made.

Possible replacements: Marcelo Bielsa, Laurent Blanc y Ernesto Valverde.

Well Bielsa influenced a lot in how Guardiola coaches, so I'd say Bielsa. Although I'll be shocked if Pep leave the job.

Maybe Pep has some ambition to take over Spain duties for del Bosque after 2014? Also, Argentina would probably pay out the ass for his services as well

More than that, where do you go that's BETTER? Anywhere he could go would be a lateral move and Barca has the cash to match any offer. Seems pretty stupid unless he could get a National Team gig or something.

And guys, it's not necessarily about going somewhere "better". It's two things:

1. He's physically and mentally tired. If you look back just two years ago, the man had a head full of black hair and eyes full of life. He's drained, and wants to take a year off to spend time with his family and think about his future.

2. He wants a new challenge. He's said all along that he doesn't plan to coach Barcelona for long. Of course he's probably not going to get a superior gig to the one he's got now, but he wants to prove that he can succeed with Xavi, Iniesta, and Messi. Although I consider him one of the best managers in the world, many will not go that far until he wins without the kind of inherited talent that he had at Barcelona. The same people will not consider Messi the best until he plays outside of Catalonia.
