    Big buzz about this one during SXSW this year.

    Starring Aubrey Plaza and Mark Duplass. Based of an internet meme, but the plot & the two main actors give it promise.

    From the producers of Little Miss Sunshine - When an unusual classified ad inspires three cynical Seattle magazine employees to look for the story behind it, they discover a mysterious eccentric named Kenneth, a likable but paranoid supermarket clerk, who believes hes solved the riddle of time travel and intends to depart again soon.     Opens in limited release tomorrow. (New York, LA, Seattle, Portland)

    Opens June 15 in Austin (Regal Arbor 8), Houston (Sundance, Edwards Greenway), Dallas (Angelika), and Plano (Cinemark West Plano).

    Safety Not Guaranteed - opening theaters

    Allegedly it will get more theaters if it does well the first two weekends and more of a "buzz" is generated...

    Saw it today. Thought it was great.

    It was a little more dramatic than it was comedic (I got the impression from the trailer that it was more of a comedy), but it still was really good.

    Aubrey Plaza was outstanding, although the role definitely catered to her deadpan strengths (especially in the first half of the movie). I hope she doesn't get too typecast throughout her career, but if she's in more movies, I'll go see them. I think Mark Duplass has been good in everything I've seen him in (The League, The Puffy Chair, Humpday, Greenberg), and this was no exception.

    The movie was far more character driven than it was about time travel itself - lots of development into regret, change, "why", etc., rather than the standard sci-fi time travel-related inquiries.

    But it was good. I'd recommend it. 4.0 stars out of 5.

    Oh, and the guy who allegedly placed the original ad back in the 90s (it apparently made it onto Jay Leno's "Headlines" segment) apparently has a small cameo.

    edit: The guy who wrote the original ad is the first guy who shows up at the Post Office to check his P.O. Box and they make a joke about how he fits the bill of someone who would place the ad.

    Really enjoyed it, each of the characters was strong and it was just the right length; any more and the plot was going to start dragging. The main reporter guy was $#@!ing great, and the Parks and Rec chick is really hot...

    Watched it last night. I agree that each character added something without detracting from the main story line. I thought the movie managed to have strong elements of drama, intrigue, and comedy while remaining fairly light hearted. Would recommend.

    I watched this last night and thought it was fantastic. The story seemed very original, it wasn't too long, and the cast was great.

    I think that's where I heard it, too. Must've got his distaste for RTF mixed up with a distaste for UT.

    I have seen this movie since the original comments and I thought it was pretty good.

    Saw it last night and enjoyed it. Definitely a little different than I expected. I like Jake Johnson more as the down trodden guy like in New Girl than douchey guy. Aubrey Plaza was great.
