Regional Friday ...

Usually the start to my favorite stretch of the year ... "The road to Omaha".

I should be checking into the Doubletree off I-35, icing down a cooler of beer, chewing on seeds, staking down tents, setting up speakers ... getting ready to enjoy great baseball with great friends.

Depression is setting in.

Hopefully this sad state of affairs will light a fire under the program that will get us back to where we belong. A NCAA tournament without Texas should never happen. Ever.

This will be the first summer since 2002 that our group is not going to Omaha. I drove by the stadium this morning just for the hell of it ... wish I wouldn't have. She looks pathetic. I need a beer.

Im cheering for TCU and the winner of the Waco regional (not named Oral Roberts) in this thing...if i had to pick in order, it'd be UTA, DBU, TCU, Baylor...

same guy who shoved it up tcu's ass when they played ole miss in fort worth did it again. tcu's "best player" was senior jason coats. in his last bat ever at Lupton, he singled and tore his ACL rounding 1st base. had surgery 2 days ago. pretty $#@!ty end to a career.

Correct you are, Scooter. He did give up 6 hits in the 6 innings. Sam scored all runs in the 5th complimented by errors by the 2B and SS.

The Manhattan-SCarolina game has been awesome. The $#@! pitcher has a no-hitter through 6.

The Manhattan pitcher, the same dude who pitched 22 innings last weekend in their conference tournament, is a sidearmer with a 78 mph fastball, though most everything he throws is in the 60s. He took a no-hitter into the 6th before SC broke through on him.
