    Bills release Vince Young

    The Buffalo Bills cut ties with quarterback Vince Young on Monday, one day after the team acquired Tarvaris Jackson in a trade, ESPN.com reports.

    Young completed 12 of his 26 pass attempts and sealed his fate when he threw two interceptions against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Saturday’s preseason game.

    Young signed a one-year, $2 million contract with the Bills in May, after spending last season with the Philadelphia Eagles. He spent his first five seasons with the Tennessee Titans, who drafted him third overall in the 2006 NFL Draft.

    Texans should try to pick him up with the understanding he is #2 behind M.S. He is way better than Yates or Case K. Plus, with VY's family in Houston, that may help him become better grounded and more focused which could translate into better play on the field. I think it would be worth a shot if I were Kubiak and McNair.

Point is that in the stock crash of 2008, many suffered stress, depression and anxiety when our stocks/investments/401Ks were halved or worse, our properties lost value and we lost our jobs. Now imagine you are VY and lose 95%+ of all the money earned from football, you are being sued by scumbags all over the country, no more $ from the game - it's got to be a personal hell for him.     Wouldn't be mad at him coming up to Seattle on the cheap. Pete Carroll is very familiar with VY. It's not like Flynn is lighting up the stat sheet and Wilson looks great but is still a rookie. VY could come in as the 3 and be a viable option if Flynn continues to dine on $#@!s.

    in the one preseason game, IIRC the first one, that we saw online - we all agreed that his running prowess resembled 2006 VY, lost weight, quickness, the burst were all there. It seems that the playbook obsessed coaching staffs don't appreciate his gifts of improvisation and would rather take a Greg McElroy type robot.

    Even if he has a net worth of 0 now, all he has to do is stay clean and out of trouble and do commercials and appearances, and he'll make enough money to live well. Not NFL well, but that isn't happening anymore. He doesn't have millions anymore so the leeches should be gone.

    I was wondering this weekend while watching preseason games......why do teams that have running, college style QB's on their roster either a) let them run or b)put in a special package that showcases their talent.....yet no team does this for Vince....arguably the greatest running college QB of all time.
