if one of the top CrossFit athletes stopped doing any WODs and only followed the p90X for 90 days he would lose both his metcon and his overall strength.
also the diets are completely different. p90X (i believe) makes you follow a low fat, higher carb and protein diet. CrossFit preaches the Zone diet, which is almost equal amounts of fat/carb (non grain/starch form)/and protein
CrossFit is about performance. P90X is about looks.
