Starting this tomorrow morning guys, not terribly out of shape. 6' 4'' 238. Play 3 basketball games a week in a league so get some good cardio in. Want to lose the bitch tits and get my arms bigger. Have a whey protein and some BCAA's recovery drink. I only have resistance bands right now, will this suffice or is a pull up bar necessary. Good luck everyone will be reporting in weekly on progress.
And enjoy the journey. You'll kick the panties off the other dudes on the court after doing Plyo for a while.
I've always been skinny, although I'm 40 now and in the past few years I've been getting a little softer around the middle. I've mostly been been doing p90x to build muscle mass, not lose weight (although I have dropped about 8 pounds and am down to the weight I was for most of my 20s and 30s). After 120 days of it, I've definitely seen an improvement -- legs, arms, shoulders, chest ... pretty much everywhere. Still don't have that six-pack yet, though. The first time through, I generally ate healthily and used protein shakes. This time, I'm trying to stick more closely to the diet, cutting the amount of carbs and focusing on eating protein and veggies, in the hopes that I finally get rid of that belly fat and see the ab muscles underneath.

be careful with how much success you have because it will only lead to people accusing you of being a douche.
Well, he is a shagster, so they'd probably be right
Started last friday cause I was sick as a dog last early last week. So far the Yoga and Ab Ribber are $#@!ing nuts. Everything else is ok, I dont feel completely wiped out after work outs but sweat like a whore in church. Kenpo (sp?) tonight lets see how this goes
I am going to be evangelical again, but really, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is one of the toughest work outs I have done. A good 1 to 1.5 hour class with a nice warm up, some technique drilling and 4-8 5 minute rounds of rolling (sparring) will whip your ass. Easily sweat out 5 lbs of water. Plus you get to learn to choke people and break their bones/joints. Who doesn't love that?
As long as we are talking other workouts my swimming thread has been a huge success.
