My favorite was when a kid had 3 hats on the table and tossed away one at a time until he was left with just the one. I think it was a Florida hat. The crowd around him starts to cheer with appreciation only to watch as he pulls out another teams hat that was tucked underneath the Florida hat.
It was an Alabama camo hat, because his dad was in the military. I am guessing his father is not an intelligence officer from the way he sounded.

But yes, I love it when they actually pull off stuff like that where one crowd goes nuts and they bust out another super secret hidden hat. Playing with other peoples' emotions are funny.
Most people were pretty sure Darius White was going to do the same when there was no OSU hat on the table. Cooler heads prevailed.
no, I saw that one too and the one I was talking about was a different one.Originally Posted by Quadry

OU DE coach is going to Mississippi state in a co-defensive coordinator role. Jim Jeffcoat is rumored to be the top candidate for his replacement.

Wow shocker right there! Not. We all know OU is dirty, why even act surprised guys?
Well if it's true, I would think that going from Houston to OU as an upgrade. He gets offered, he'll take it which would sway Jackson easily to OU.
I'm not sure dad going to OUsux means Jeffcoat follows him, but it might steer him away from Texas so they don't have to play against one another every year.
Man...I'm really afraid of any coach associated with the current Houston defense. It's obvious Oklahoma is making this decision based on performance.
He was down to OU/UT with UF out of the scene. As soon as his dad accepts its case closedOriginally Posted by llogg

My thought is to light the cigarette if Jeffcoat's dad takes the OU job.
Maybe its just the opposite and he's like $#@! that $#@!...too much family up there. Who knows, just trying to think positive.
I wouldn't want my dad to be at the school I am going to. It would be cool to learn from him on the field but he could be a $#@! block off the field.
I think this it. I am not sure he would want to play for his dad, but would this hurts his chances with Texas. Could see him ending up at Florida or SC.Originally Posted by llogg
Also, the article say OU interviewed and almost hired Jeffcoat before they hired Wilson. I don't think this is a move just to get Jackson, but it wouldn't hurt if it happened.
In all honestly, what merits does Jim have for the OU coordinator job? He gets that job, and their are obvious shenanigans going on here.
OU is looking for a DE coach, same position that Jeffcoat holds at UH.
pretty much the only way OU can beat us in a head to head recruiting battle these days, yeah?
Its the DE coach.Originally Posted by neverwenttoUT

Umm.... let's see. He played 15 season in the NFL. He coached D-Ends for the Cowboys for many year and he is currently coaching D-Ends at Houston. I think he is fairly qualified.Originally Posted by neverwenttoUT
And it isn't for the coordinator job it would be defensive ends coach.
anyone who tries to make the case that this is being done for any other reason than to get his son to OU is delusional.
We hired Oscar Giles from Houston and he was less qualified then than Jeffcoat is now.
theres no room for facts in this $#@!ing thread.Originally Posted by Red Five

Are you too dumb to understand that we have two DL coaches as well? One that coaches ends, the other that coaches DTs. The same has been true for OU.
That's ridiculous. Why do we have a combined offensive coordinator / QB coach so we can have 2 DL coaches? DL is the easiest position to coach.
Jim Jeffcoat is the defensive line coach at Houston. Why would he take a demotion to become a defensive ends coach? He interviewed for the position in 2005, but now has a better position.
You all have the same thing. Jeffcoat was 2nd to Wilson, Wilson moved on. This is what you call a game changer, he won't play against his dad and UF/USC are out.. He's sooner boundOriginally Posted by Urinal Cake
What's so frustrating is that OU got MSU to hire away their DE coach just so they could get Jeffcoat. I don't know how much $ it costs to swing something like that, but it really sucks!
Umm...this is almost as stupid as all the damn longcat posts.Originally Posted by Urinal Cake
Wilson may leave to become a defensive line coach, Jeffcoat already is a definsive line coach. Also, Wilson hasn't accepted the position yet, maybe OU will entice him to stay. I think you are getting a little ahead of yourself.Originally Posted by USAOROTC
Also, he won't play against his dad. His dad coaches on the defensive side, and he plays defense.
i meant from a team vs team view. Wilson is gone, Jeffcoat is #1 target,
