Great thread. On a related note, the two times Twan came in with the short yardage package...he absolutely destroyed people on the lead blocks. I mean completely eliminated them from the play in a very violent way. Not a lot of people are really talking about it, but it was just crazy.
Great thread, Derka. What an awesome day for you. Mack truly is the best coach we could have ever hoped to have when he got the job in 1997. Godspeed to Sean. Thank him for his service from all of us.
It's kind of hard to believe sometimes how incredible our coach is. He has led this program to rarified air indeed.
Thanks to Sean and all the men of our armed forces on this Veterans' Day. And thanks for sharing Derka.

Cobb should starts.
Seriously, what an awesome story. Sean looks like he could suit up and play Saturday. Dude is put together.
Cold chills.
Thanks for sharing Derk.
BEST. THREAD. EVER.
Keep posting the pics and stories dude. Tremendous.
antwan cobb was cracking heads on kickoffs. i'd hate to be taking kicks back against us.
Incredible story. Mack is incredible and there isn't anyone I'd want representing my school much less my state. Please tell your friend that if the shag thinks he's a hero then he's a real bad ass.
I listened to the UCF game on the radio and heard Antwan blowing people up. Way and Moreland mentioned him several times.
I love our football program. Great story Derka. Great $#@!ing story.
I gotta say this made me laugh more than usual...

As we were over there near it, Mack was the one who suggested that we pick it up and take a photo with it. That thing is heavier than I thought it would be. I'd say a good 25 lbs. Maybe even 30. When it as handed to me, I held it like it was baby Jesus himself.
Also, in one of the pictures of Sean and Mack talking, there's kind of a giant picture in the background, I think of a UT jersey and some other stuff, I dunno, I'll re post it. Well, that's actually a drop down picture that drops in front of the TV with the click of a button. Very cool.
with the TV showing
EDIT: OK, so i can't even remember exactly how it works, but Mack has the decision of whether it's a tv or a badass picture. Pretty sweet.
Oh, and at one point, we were telling Mack about how a good friend of ours, who went to the game with us, is from Arkansas, and is a huge Razorbacks fan, and how he said that this was the only time you'd ever see him in Burnt Orange, bcause Sean was having this day, and because Antwan was starting to make him slowly like Texas more and more. But, in the end, he's still from Arkansas, and he's still a Razorback. Mack looked at all of us and said, "Fellas, you may have to cut him loose." It was seriously funny.
Sean, his cousin, and Twan
My brothers. We're called the BMW Family. But it doesn't stand for Blanks Mays Wright. I bet you can figure it out.![]()
on veteran's day, don't forget that papa cobb is retired army as well.
Check out the block Antwaan lays starting at 2:45

The funniest part about the locker room is all the anti- pot and anti- drinking posters EVERYWHERE. They also copy and blow up articles about other teams' players getting arrested and post them all over the place. When I say blow up I mean 50X size.Originally Posted by beer

great post, thanks for sharing.
keep the pics coming if you have them
Stuff like this and his 2005 locker room speech just shows Mack appreciates and understands his role as the face and patriarch of our university, and proves how bad ass Mack is.
as a vet myself, this brought me to tears. well as close as i can really get without having a complete breakdown...anywho, this is totally awesome. one of my life goals is to be involved in the football program in some way. i know im too small to really play and due to injury overseas ill never get to play. with that the next best thing is to do anything else. perhaps a chaperon for freshmen or DD for those on the team and make sure they are safe and not getting into trouble or something? its because of people like Coach Brown, and frankly, Coach Brown that I would even consider having that as one of my life goals. Im so happy that a brother-in-arms was able to get this opportunity. it means so much. this really made my veterans day special. im pretty sure that Mack will never know just what he means to so many vets for what he has done and how he has made our lives better, but if i ever got an opportunity to tell him, i would not hesitate to take it. i went to austin two weeks ago i got to see Earl's Heisman trophy at the co-op, and im sold that that will be the closest ill ever get to anything like that ever again. im good with that. i really dread the day when he retires from his head coach position. i know that Coach Boom will do great, but its just that I have followed Coach Brown since he got to Texas and he really feels like a long-lost father figure, despite the fact that i have never met him. just seeing the way he handles everything resembles the values and morals i hold myself to in life so it feels like it. Hook'Em and God Bless.

Derka, that may be the most enjoyable post I've ever read on this site. Thank you for taking the time to let us in on that. Mack is the man. And a thumbs-up of thanks to your buddy Sean.

This thread is still awesome. But, Derka, my man, those jorts are out of $#@!ing control. Those almost look like highwaters instead of jorts.
Some of y'all asked for some more pics. Ask, and ye shall recieve.
Sean lookng at one of the trophy cases
Whoever does these portraits does an unbelieveable job
This is Sean in that coaches room I talked about earlier. I wanted to post this one for the look on Sean's face.
In the locker room, where the players watch TV.
And last, but certainly not least............... (Sorry Jordan!)
