No doubt it's a good painting. Looks like something you'd see in a gallery in Santa Fe.

But for this album, it just seems off. Very disconnected from the music behind the cover.

So happy to hear people are enjoying Phosphorescent. One of the best live shows I've ever seen was them doing an in-store at End of An Ear during SXSW 2006.

Agree. Didn't top Werewolves and Lollipops, but was hilarious. Eugene Mirman put out a great one too: "God is a 12 Year Old Boy with Aspergers." The bits about him visiting internet sites were awesome.

Agree. Acoustic version of King's Highway worth the price of all 4 CDs. The live album that Tom Petty finally deserved.

it definitely takes patience, but i think once you get a feel for the flow of the album, you will dig it.

i think i'm just going to submit 4... didn't keep up with everything so well this year, and was pretty disappointed with a couple efforts (i'm looking at you sonic youth and lightning bolt):
