Relax. I'm actually happy he's going through the motions because it means he's likely to make a decision quicker, which means we can move on quicker if he goes elsewhere.

I remember reading his thoughts on their last class and how much he talked it up. he literally broke every player down saying they were vastly underrated and repeated "trust in Sherm" at least 10 times in the post.

We lead slightly but TCU is right behind us. His dad definitely knows the beating a RB can take and he definitely likes the idea of Brown being the bruiser and Gray being the speed back. Just my opinion, we're going to get him if we can just show a pulse of offense this year. If we roll out struggling like last year, he'll end up at TCU.

Recruitocosm is still supremely confident. "Done deal", etc. Of course they said the same about ASJ, so who knows.

I think we're in good shape, though. Sometimes these super blue chip guys don't let themselves get rushed into anything so it just takes some time. A guy like Gray knows that he can call any school in the country on the morning of signing day and they would have a spot for him.

I don't doubt that TCU is pouring everything they got into Gray's recruitment but I have a good friend in Ft. Worth who's in the mix up there. My one & only CFB "in" for this year says J. Gray is ours to lose and unless Mack concedes to TCU (which I don't see that happening in a million years) and that he is still a VERY strong lean twords (my new word) the REAL Good Guys. Barring a major recruiting meltdown Gray sure looks good in all that burnt orange he's been sporting lately around school.

If you were Johnathan Gray, why would you be in a big hurry to commit to Texas? Obviously the staff changes should lead to upgrades in the offense in general and the running game specifically, but why commit to them without seeing them perform?

If it were me, I wouldn't be making any decisions until seeing Texas play a few games.

Hopefully Brown is great and Shead is good, so it will convince him to come here. If Shead and Brown both tear it up, is it a positive or a negative with regards to landing Gray?

I'm not sure if Gray's recruitment will go all the way into the season. I'm thinking they do the spring practice tour and then make the decision.
