    Yes. That used to be known as Thelma's until the fire. She reopened in a different location, and I have not been over there. I have heard it is not as good as it was at the old location, but need to investigate this to be sure.

    This place has spent far too much money on the renovation of the property to have even a remote chance of decent food. Make no mistake - Phil's will suck. I'm all in for the Shagging though.

    I can confirm drexler's sucked. bad. i think it closed. Goode Co is no good for brisket, ribs, or sausage. However, if you want chicken (not racist), and potato salad it is pretty damn hard to beat theirs. I will be heading out of Houston to go to the games this weekend so i won't be able to make any BBQ get togethers in Acres Homes, but i certainly would like to go some time.

    I'd say buy the meat by the pound....

    I should be good to go on Saturday as I've got to do family photos for the wife on account of the baby turning 6 months old... so then I'll come home to watch the World Cup and earn my way into game watching..
