Damn, the Cardinals are fading fast, and this is a team, many people had pegged to win the Central and pennant just two weeks ago.
2 hit shutout and the reds come back to win in extras. not the best day for cardinal fans.

That was a great outing by Happ. I wanted him to intentionally walk Pujols a few times tonight. Somewhere the decision was made to pitch to him. I guess it worked but I think he got really lucky a few times.
Obviously Wallace was balls at the plate. Sanchez had that nice grab. Great hustle on that play. Those were my highlights tonight.
Nice to bust on the Cards while they'[re in a playoff race. Happ is really fun to watch, if he can pitch the way he did tonight, and has shown in a couple other starts, he's the ace.
yeah, all of a sudden if we enter 2011 with happ/wandy/myers at the top of the rotation, i'm feeling ok about things.
The crazy part is that Pujols has been hot as shit throughout the slide.
Norris had pitched well until his start against the Mets. Giving up the 2 run single to Dickey was the kill shot.
I like what the Astros have coming back in the rotation. The bullpen needs a major overall, as they export out all the 30 somethings, though Figs deserves a shots at the 5th starter position.
Melancon, Abad, and hopefully Gervacio will form the core of the bullpen. No more Fulchino, Chacin, or Brydak.
Still would like to see Bogusevic in LF, as the Astros transition into a pitching and defense team.
The Cardinals have 3 hitters that are above decent. Pujols, Holiday, and Rasmus.
yeah, lopez, fig and lyon have been very solid. lindstrom was too before his injury.
the problem with this team early on, was that absolutely nobody was hitting. since early may we're a .500 team, and that's because our guys finally showed signs of life at the plate.
paulino will also be in the mix for a spot next season
The Cards are falling apart, Carpenter especially; 3-0 Astros bottom of the 4th, Pence with a couple more RBIs.

I fucking hate Chris Carpenter now. Brandon Phillips was right about him being a complainer - always throwing little tantrums on the mound if one freaking pitch doesn't go his way, that little bullshit speech he gave to Brandon Ryan because he took the wrong glove out against the Reds was such a gay maneuver (and Ryan was the best Card in that series overall, so obviously, he was ready to go), then he tries to get involved in the ruckus with the Reds that day and gets thrown around like a bitch but still has some shit to say, and now we score some runs against the guy and he starts throwing inside at Wallace because he's not getting his way. I used to respect him because how sick he is as a pitcher, but I'm down with all that congenial shit. What a douche. Forever.

I went to my first Astros game in a long time tonight. This team is so exciting to watch right now. Question for people who watched at home, were the Castro and Pence put outs at second base close?
I was at the game and didn't really think they were close. I didn't see pence's that well but my friend said it looked like he was out.

we play 16 of our last 26 against teams with losing records. a little luck and this team may finish 81-81 something I never would have imagined two months ago. Couldn't have seen us finishing only behind Cincinnati and St. Louis a couple months ago.
Hell if St. Louis continues to swirl down the drain like the soft turd that they are there is a remote chance we could get close to them for the #2 spot in this dogshit division
