This year at Comic Con the heroes appearing in the upcoming Avengers movie were announced and are as follows:

Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man



Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury



Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow



Chris Hemsworth as Thor



Chris Evans as Captain America



Replacing Edward Norton as The Hulk is Mark Ruffalo



and introducing Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye

It's hard to imagine this working. There will have to be some characters stories sacrificed for it to succeed. The focus should center around the different viewpoints of Cap and Iron Man.

He directed Firefly, on TV and also the follow up movie, Serenity. I personally thought both were very good. I say let's give it a chance to see what happens. No need to complain about it sucking, especially since it hasn't even started filming.

god this movie looks terrible. after i saw one of the marvel movies this summer, they had the teaser trailer after, and wow, looks like a flop.


too bad, cause i loved iron man and captain america was aight. that being said, i cant stand dumbass directors/producers that destroy these comic book stories

I will probably see this and expect to be entertained, but god, that trailer sucked. Why do so many blockbusters have Linkin Park/Transformers/Inception type music in the previews? These Hollywood idiots needs to stop making trailers just for kids 18 or younger. You already own that demographic since it's another summer comic book movie. How about using a film score(from another movie since Avengers music probably hasn't been completed) that caters to normal adults?

Also, Samuel L. Jackson will suck $#@! in this movie. Never seen another actor that has been so great in a few films be so terrible in others. $#@!in' Mace Windu.

Challenge with The Avengers (at least for me) is that it is a collection of some of the most boring/lamest heroes in the Marvel Universe.

Sucks that Ghost Rider was ruined by casting Nick Cage as lead and although not a Marvel property that Stallone was Judge Dredd.

Looks pretty good. Don't like ruffalo as hulk. Not sure what comic book fans want out of these movies. Isn't seeing real people acting in a movie more realistic than a cartoon on paper with writing? Ya most these comic movies aren't on the level of dark knight and lots have had horrible actors...but still it's based on a comic. I guess those who read comics develop their own perception of these comic characters and get disappointed seeing how it gets portrayed in a movie. Can't please everyone. Also, hate that loki is the main antagonist....thor should have killed that bitch (in movie).

Nine Inch Nails is "Hollywood" now? News to me. I thought the song was about the only redeeming aspect of the trailer.

This right here. Growing up I never really had an interest in any of the characters of the Avengers primary team. Downey has made Iron Man cool but the rest are still meh.
