Sad news.
NEW BRAUNFELS — As predawn thunder rolled and lightning flashed, Peter Serebrenik carried a 7-year-old girl out of rising floodwaters that were rapidly swallowing his campgrounds on the banks of the Guadalupe River. Nearly 12 inches of rain had pelted parts of Comal County overnight — a downpour that resulted in a tourist's death and left widespread damage.
After hours of falling, the rain had turned into a battering ram of muddy water that tore through this resort community and, at that moment early Wednesday, was washing away Serebrenik's River Ranch RV Park.
Barton Springs pool this AM.

jew said it mane!!!
Just talked to my mom and downtown Belton is flooding. At our house, which is on the Stillhouse Hollow Dam Road, my dad poured out 7 inches of water of the rain gauge and it was overflowing and that was before another heavy rain hit this morning.
It's always feast or famine.
Looks like Dallas is now getting what y'all got in Austin yesterday (and are still getting). It rained pretty heavily yesterday from a storm that was only marginally related to Hermine, and restarted overnight and hasn't let up. Looks like it will be with us all day.
It's raining like an MF here in DFW. The right wall of this thing seems to just be going up 35 from Austin to Dallas.
One more from BS. I climb up those stairs quite often to get out of the pool. Powerful shit.

Well looks like the rain fucked up something with my cable and it's not an outage in my area, so unless it's somehow back on when I get home I don't get TV and Internet access until Saturday. Christ.

It looks like it's almost night here.
This shit happens every 10 years

Seems like the sun is finally starting to break through the clouds out here on the east side
Anyone got one of Town Lake? Last serious rains I remember, that thing was rolling pretty good.
I think that's looking east on 2222 from 360.
EDIT: what he said

Meh, a little duct tape and some Krazy Glue and it'll good as new by 3 p.m. today.
I wonder how I will get home today. 183 and Breaker to Congress and Oltorf... should be interesting, interesting and time consuming.
Yikes.Fire crews pulled seven people out of Lady Bird Lake near the hike-and-bike trail at South First Street close to 1:30 a.m., Saenz said.
“I don’t know how they got in the water and we rescued them, seven people,” Saenz said.

No offense to the fine citizens of Blanco, Johnson City, and Spicewood, but this storm will directly cost me $4K, and indirectly another $6K. They can take a turn.
Here we go.
Per LCRA: LCRA anticipates opening floodgates Wednesday at Wirtz and Starcke dams because of heavy rain in Sandy Creek, which flows into Lake LBJ, and Flat Rock Creek, which flows into Lake Marble Falls. LCRA expects to open one floodgate at Wirtz Dam by 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, and one and a half floodgates at Starcke Dam.
Always good news for Lake Travis. Forecast to rise to 672-674.

Just getting hammered here in Dallas. There's a small leak around the skylight in my master bathroom, so that's just wonderful. Thankfully, it's over the bath tub.
Note to self: Have guttters cleaned ASAP, dumbass.
