People on this board have been bitching about the OL since 2006, but since then, we've had 4 linemen drafted and another 3 makes teams as UDFAs (I'm not counting Tanner who was signed as an UDFA by the Jets but then cut after an injury). In fact, since the national championship, Cedric Dockery, Dallas Griffin and Chris Hall are the only OL starters we've had that didn't make it in the NFL and Hall didin't even try. You should extrapolate from that that it's not hard for an OL starter at Texas to make an NFL roster and people on this board bitch way too much.

I extrapolate that Hall was terrible.

Ulatoski and Tanner didn't make it in the NFL. They tried out at camps as undrafted free agents and got cut.

Blalock, Studdard, and Hills were drafted. Sendlein wasn't, which was ridiculous, but he now starts for the Cardinals. All of those guys were recruited in the 2002 and 2003 classes. No Texas offensive lineman recruited since 2004 has made it in the NFL.

That's because most haven't had a chance yet. Not counting true freshmen, we've singed 16 OL during that time span. Of that 16, just 2 have finished their careers at Texas and been eligible for the draft (Hall and Tanner). 5 transfered or were kicked off the team and the remaining 8 are still on the roster and make up this year's starting lineup.

The problem was the '06 class where the staff signed 4 linemen and all of them left Texas early to transfer or were kicked off. Those guys should have been a significant part of the OL two-deep last year and this.

I was outnumbered 2 to 1 with Tech fans (in laws) who were rubbing their impending win in leading up to that score. It got ugly.

Dockery and Ulatoski finished their careers and were draft eligible. So that's 4 guys who were 3 year starters for us and who weren't drafted.

With the exception of Jamarcus Webb, none of the guys who transferred or got kicked off the team were NFL prospects.

Cody Johnson could get a look as a project guy.

Hard to tell because Buck Burnette could have been a big time center in the league. He was set to start for us as a sophomore if memory serves me correctly.
