Had, the battle axe. I call bull$#@! on it being 8ABV. Way to smooth. You trying to get us drunk? Either way, I think a five or six percent version of it would be a nice addition to the regular lineup. Also finally got a black thunder. very nice. Look forward to the cans of that.

You are correct, Sir. TABC's official reading was 7.98%ABV.

While the alcohol flavor is very hard to detect on the palate, it's definitely there and is an essential flavor component of the beer. We couldn't get away with the English malt sweetness or mongo hop flavor in a lesser beer. The higher the alcohol, the more intense the flavors have to be to cover it up.

(512) uses a manual 2-head can filler, very similar to what we have, for their big bottles. They're versatile little machines.

Okay, so now I've had a couple of these Battle Axe thingies and I have to say that is some very impressive beer. I just wish vendors would stop being $#@!gots and give it to me in a 16 oz glass. It's isn't that high alcohol.

just off the top of my head, Billy's on Burnet and Grackle on east 6th serve full pints.

I recommend ending the night with a full pint of Battle Axe after an already long night of drinking. if you enjoy large hangovers that is.

yeah, billy's honey badger on bunett don't give a $#@!. they damn near killed my buddy with a la bestia barrel aged pint at 9.5% after drinking all day at the ABW premier at draught house. try riding your bike all the way to airport and I35 after that.

It's referred to as an imperial red ale, but more accurately it's a really hoppy, really malty bomb of awesomeness.

It's about Austinite Richard Garriot (founder of Origin Systems), who paid the Russian Government $30,000,000 to shoot him into outer space. So we're calling the beer Sputnik.

You and everyone else should come out to the Draught House tonight. We're doing another Meen-n-Greet and will be tapping the first ever Cask-conditioned Fire Eagle. We dry hopped this one with Amarillo, which should give it a super bright, Citrusy aroma. And the first 72 people who order one will get a free ABW Pilsner glass. Gonna be a good time. Party starts at 5pm.
