Anyone else buy the year of Elite? What are we getting?

Wasn't that the system that provides a whole $#@!-ton of extra stats about combat, like where you die or kill most on the map, more details about weapon proficiencies statistics and where you hit/miss targets, among other things?

I thought it sounded like an extremely nice feature to add to a game, but was bummed they would charge for it..

and this. Maybe it's just me, but most of the weapons feel pretty similar. I'm sure it'll come with experience, but I don't feel great disparity in weapons yet.

I think the majority of that will be available for free but their servers are down atm. If you link your gamertag to a cod account you can check https://elite.callofduty.com/career until its up.

Beyond just that building, the game has a MW1 look to it IMO.

So I'm going to do a quick veteran run-through on campaign. Some of these moments are complete balls. Teammates yell covering fire, then start to reload. That, and apparently the AI HATES anything that approaches a mortar. I died at that part many times.

Not a fan of saving checkpoints in the middle of fire either. One of my saves was "corrupt" b/c I would insta-die every time I would load.

Besides that, amazing game, and I can't wait to jump on multiplayer.

picked up my game last night at midnight.. played for a few hours last night.. i really like it graphics, leveling up on weapons, and the new perks are all pretty bad ass. haven't played campaign or special-ops yet but i'll get to it tonight.. just wanna get out of class so i can go home and play..

I heard this as well, also heard that it basically fixes what MW2 broke in regards to MW1. which is what I was hoping, I know some MW2 players think that nothing was broke but MW2 drove me insane with how the stackable perks were turrrble.

also heard the campaign backed off the edge of going full Michael Bay like MW2 was trying it's damnedest to be.

Though I felt BF3 was cheesy and overcliched, the constant action kept me enthralled in the game, and surround sound made it a great experience to me.

MW3 just hasn't been near as captivating I feel. I may not be in far enough either, but their doesn't seem to be a very exciting story either. It's also not near as bad as BF3's campaign where you often have to man posts under serious fire, and die every time. MF3 actually gives you a legitamite chance to win each firefight, though headhshots and the like are definitely in the game.

Have played for a while, up to level 20 after about 2 hrs of gameplay. Really enjoying it. Been sticking to the M41 and UMP for now.

mw2.5... and I realized that I absolutely hate core mode still.

I'm disappointed in what I experienced in the first 30 minutes. I still like the game a lot and it was a worthy purchase for me but this is basically a big DLC.

I'll update my stance once I hit level 19 and can unlock Hardcore again. and what the $#@!?!? no HC headquarters again?!? I'm going to have to wait for another update for HQ to get a Hardcore mode?!? $#@!ing hate that $#@!.

also found myself constantly bringing up the score menu cause of spotting in BF3... lol, I really gotta remember to stop that.

the pros in 30 minutes: it is still what is fun about CoD/MW, if you like MW/MW2 you will like MW3, perk system looks interesting, stackable perks aren't overpowered but help your squad rather.

the cons in 30 minutes: client side hosting still sucks, sure I can play at any given point but the host and anyone really close have an unfair advantage constantly. there isn't much that feels different and by different I mean "new", it just feels like an iteration of MW1/2.

ps I really really hate core. ump at 20 meters owns the m4 when I have tactical superiority and defilade on his ass is bull$#@!.

Even though campaign mode can get boring (IMO) I do it because I paid 60 bucks for a game. According to reviews it only takes 5 hours to complete.

Not sure I like it just yet. Learning the maps is always tough, and from what I've seen, I prefer MW1/2.

Ah it's good to be back...game is a lot quicker now. I have been playing BF3 for past few weeks and it just doesn't compare, the aiming and accuracy of guns is sloppy and just didn't feel right with the controls. I heart MW
