if you're a runner, I think a treadmill is a must in summers like this...and we're just getting started.

St Augustine needs to be banned in Texas and all existing St Augustine should be replaced within the next 5 to 10 years. The state can't waste that much water keeping yards green.
Buffalo, or some variant of. I get mighty $#@!ing tired of driving into town and having people's subdivision sprinklers spraying out in the $#@!ing road, on my windshield, every morning. $#@!ing $#@!ers. Green lawns are overrrated. And then you people bitch about deer problems. WTF you expect?
And we'll just keep buying up all the water rights to the west...
plus a nice 30 mile an hour wind in lubbock
Anyone try Turfalo? Tech developed it; it's supposed to be green/no watering/weed resistant, etc.
Try being 8 1/2 months pregnant in this heat. The next person who says, "Oh you're due in July? At least you won't be pregnant in the hottest part of summer!" gets a punch in the face.
St Augustine is retarded. My dad planted it in our yard 20 years ago and still points back to it as the biggest waste of money in his life next to not aborting me.
i'm certain that when i teed off on tuesday at 5:30 it was still 100 degrees. these things happen. drink water, it'll be ok.
Suckers. Breezy 95 now in the 73142, with gusting SE winds up to 33 mph.
The other day: hail. Next week: it's gon' rain!!!
I think I'll take a warm bath, now.
76 sunny, 77 tstorms, 77 tstorms, 77 tstorms, 76 chance of tstorms, 76 chance of tstorms.
im tired of the rain. wanna trade weather patterns for a few days?
72 and Sunny here in San Diego.10 day forecast is for pretty much the same.
I made it to Wal Mart today around 2. It only took me 30 minutes to get in and out but my car turned into an inferno anyhow in spite of my countermeasures.
It's only going to get hotter.
Someone should getin touch with James Hatfield. He made rain for LA
Loving my noon to 9 shift. Leaving for work just as its starting up and leave for home just as its cooling down... to 96.
i like the heat. i don't like the lack of rain. i'm fixing to do the right thing, and just turn off the sprinklers for the lawn and water the garden twice a week. maybe the st. aug will actually die and i'll xeriscape
I'm moving this week. Spent all afternoon hauling boxes and furniture. It really wasn't that bad, but I will sleep well tonight.
living in vegas right now ... "Of course, lest we forget, once you're out the front door, you're still in the middle of the $#@!ing desert"
Note that the resident global warming deniers are silent on this issue. Whereas they were vocal during the cold snap. Just sayin'
It's summertime, it's supposed to be hot. Deal.
Checking in here.
Heat spells don't "prove" global warming any more than "cold" spells in the winter "disprove" it.
My sentiments are in longer term observations. Oh by the way, get ready for the upcoming Ice Age due to unusual sunspot absence:
(this article actually refutes the current "news" that a mini-ice age is coming, which my point is to illustrate the uncertainty over climate debate)
I am not sure, as are the huge majority of non-agenda-(and funding)-driven climatologists, that the earth is warming or cooling (it's doing both depending upon the length of time you're measuring).
I am sure, that there's nothing substantial to "prove" humans are causing it. This is my opinion based on my readings.
One thing I am positive about, though, is that concentrated heat on one part of the United States (check out the temps today in NYC and the Upper Midwest, it's pretty cool, around 70 degrees) isn't "proof" of anything....
except a La Nina driven excessively hot Texas summer (which I believe eventually will give way to tropical systems by mid-July).

Damn... it's gonna get up to 85 next week. Northern California has severely weakend my tolerance of hot weather.
I just got to Circle C to play disc golf. It's already 90 degrees- in the shade.
Go back to the cloakroom please.
Going from 75-80 with a great breeze in Cali, to 102 in Austin every $#@!ing day is killer. Espec since I do a lot of driving to diff locations wearing a suit every day. fml
When it was cold, I told the whiners it would pass quickly. that you could still bundle up, start a fire, etc. Now, we have zero $#@!ing options. Because of you and your vaginas.
The good news is summer won't start for another week.

Cooler temps with a chance of rain?
I got into my car on the main floor of a parking garage a couple of hours ago- a little bit underground- and the ambient temp was 104... even after giving the system a couple of minutes to "normalize".
I spend most of my days outside in this heat (for fun) and am pretty okay with it, but god damn it sucks even worse in a car on a short drive.
Black steel jeep, no AC make homer something something...
It was a nice breezy evening on the patio while the surf & turf was grilling (shrimp, salmon, ribeye)....
To quote the immortal words of President Abraham Lincoln: "Dang!"
My boys were in Lubbock all week at the Tech baseball camp. It was over 100 every day at the camp. Im sure the field temps were 10-15 degrees higher.
Here in Amarillo we have had .68" of rain since January 1st. This is a crazy year for sure.
$#@! this $#@!. I'm goin' surfing.
