Same ground rules as last year? Or do we want to give people a few days to play the game and see if we want to incorporate the coaching carousel business?

I vote same rules as last year, at least as far as team selection, advancing schedule, etc. As for the coaching carousel, I am about 60-40 against it, so can easily be talked into it.

I'll take Tenn if we are doing last year's rules.
Evil Case wants Clemson I think.
I think we should mix it up so only Top 22 teams are excluded.
But seriously, I'll take UNC under last year's rules.

Oh, and for those who didn't play last year, the rule on selecting a team was they can't be in the Top 25 and they can't be higher than 4 prestige.
I thought coaching carousel sounded kinda fun. but also kinda boring, so i can also go either way.
i'm also waiting for a price war from the walmarts and amazons to purchase it.
Gorilla is correct, I would like Clemson if we are playing by the same rules as last year. Also, I'm fine with mizzou taking mizzou if everyone else is.
Sounds tight. I'm down! I may not be able to get it for a few weeks. If that's true would it be possible for me to jump in after a season or two?
Did they include NCAA violations this year? That sure would spice things up...
I'm very interested in playing. How fast did It take y'all to complete a season last yr?
3 acc so far. Gonna be intense
So we opening it up to #23 down? Or just for mizzou?
If I can I'll take NC State just so we can have more human games.
If not I'll take WVU.
Im fine with you taking ncstate. The more in acc the better. Someone needs to take Georgia tech
We can always rearrange the conferences so there's a decent distribution of human teams. Don't want to have too many packed into the same conference, or advancing will take forever. I had UCLA playing in the SEC last dynasty.
And I'm going to break down and buy the new game. Had too much fun last time around. I'll take Virginia.
Yeah, we'll do custom conferences so don't worry about what conference a team is in.
what about creating custom teams for the dynasty with basically the same rankings?
I would love to do a teambuilder dynasty.
But that would take a few more rules regarding team creation.

Looking at the Team Builder website, you can pick a "Roster Template" that gives you a team roster. You can choose from any team, or you can choose from a playing style, (air it out, spread, ground attack, etc.). All of those rosters appear to fit in our criteria (~low 80s for most of the starters). It might be cool for everyone to pick one of those and start with similar teams. The only problem is there aren't enough to go around, and doubling up would suck having more than 1 identical team. You can also choose from any Div 1 school as a template which would probably be a better idea.
You can also set your recruiting pitch grades to whatever you want, we could make a rule that everyone get's X amount of A+, X amount of A, etc.
I almost joined a teambuilder dynasty last year, it had pretty specific rules regarding the setup of your team.
If we do this, I say you just choose the roster of a not top 25 (or 22) team with less than 4 stars, and just have everyone set their prstige at 4 stars.

I want in, but not getting game until I can purchase in the $30-$40 range. Most of you should wait as well. I'll take Baylor.
looks like with Team Builder you can adjust the sliders for your program from academic prestige down to television exposure. everyone could have 3 As, 3 Bs and 3 Cs to adjust as they see fit.
Or we could let everyone make a couple 90+ rated juniors on the "average joes" roster.
I don't want any manipulation of rosters, because I don't want everyone to have Mike Vick under center.

Also, we are waiting for good rosters to be released bfore we start, right?

Down to $40, sort of, on Amazon. This was what I was waiting for for me to purchase. It's $60, but you get $20 off your next Amazon purchase.

If we do teambuilder, I would like to see this for the roster rules.
- You MUST select the average joe roster template.
- On any player you can edit any individual such as speed, strength, tackling, etc. but no matter what you change the player's overall MUST stay the same as what is originially on the template.
Ok, I've never done anything online before with my PS3 (other than play a few people here and there on fifa), but I would be down to do this. My top 3 would be: 1) Washington, 2) Tenn, and 3) Arizona. How exactly does this work? Do we all just kinda play our seasons at the same pace? Or is there like a set schedule where everyone plays a game on a certain day? Regardless, I'm down.
Edit: If BYU is an independent in this game, then I want them.

I have never really used teambuilder but if we can use it so every has programs of the same prestige level and rosters of the same quality, I'm totally down.
If you want to play around with building a team, you can at http://www.easports.com/teambuilder#/home
It's pretty cool.
Wouldn't we be able to see that? I remember last year I could see what UCLA's "television exposure" ranking was compared to mine (this was mostly during recruiting).
Or everyone could have three A's to put somewhere in their rankings, three B's, three C's, etc in order to customize a little bit when it comes to rankings.

True. We could just allot a certain number of each rating and people can use them how they wish. Then I can just look at everyone's when we start up.
Once we start the dynasty, I assume the team is locked as is? Would that prevent us from being able to add users with custom teams once we start?
Yeah, you can check all of that.
I say that everyone should get three A's, three B's, and three C's (no + or -,) but everyone's TV exposure and pro potential should be D.
We could all use the Average Joe roster, or we could let everyone choose from Average Joe, Option Attack, Air Attack, or Ground Attack.
From what I've read, it would be locked as is. If we added folks, they would not be able to bring in their custom team. But since it sounds like we'll all use the "Average Joe" roster, we can always create a couple extra "Average Joe" teams with B ratings down the board in case others want to join down the road.
But it seems like we never really got bigger than a ten user group at any one time. The largest we got last year was right at the beginning.
I like these ideas, though I would vote to not make everyone be Average Joe rosters. I think it would be less fun if we all had identical rosters. This is assuming of course that the different templates (air attack, ground attack, spread, etc) are all comperable. We could also use the Div I team templates and let everyone pick a team that is 4 prestige and <= B or B+ overall.
They seem to be, as long as you don't choose Juggernaut or spread.
But I would be down for just choosing the roster of a B rated team. I don't think the pretige of the school whose roster we are choosing would matter, because we would already have our team pretige set to 4 stars.
