Entouch in Houston.
Entouch in Houston.
I agree it makes a lot of centsThis makes since for this provider as they are local to Houston and the Sep. 3rd game is away for Rice.
Oh hi we just switched from EnTouch to UVerse. $#@! me
UVERSE will be picking this up. They're just playing the time/leverage game.
anyway to watch the network if your cable provider isn't carrying it? justin.tv?
Thought the directv d00d from this board said they were getting... Just not in time for Rice??
Channel 77, huh? Sunds like non hd. That is concerning.
I like starting in East Texas...let's make sure B/CS is checked off the list next
Haha you ghey sip fehgs. $300M for THAT!!1!!! LULZ.
Anyone heard the lhn ad on 104.9 in austin? Downright awful. The youtube preview gave me goose bumps but man this ad is bad.
Mainly it has to do with the part where he says "if that mouth had teeth they would be full of cavities because this is so sweet.."
Are you kidding me...I start thinking dentist drill my balls start hurting.
btw..will it be on time warner?
what the hell does your dentist do with that drill? Are you kidding me...I start thinking dentist drill my balls start hurting.
How are things looking for Bandera?
any chance that Time warner picks this up? glad we got our first provider hoping this starts a roll over effect for all the other providers
Since this is ESPN, anyone have a clue if it will be available on ESPN3?
I cant find the exact posted tweet but on 08/07 on twitter, Grande Communication said they were still in negotions with Longhorn Network.
Time Warner, get your $#@! together.
what does does Uverse in the RP mean?
Has Uverse picked it up yet? I'm going to nuke them from orbit if they don't by the Rice game
First, in my view the purpose of the Longhorn Network is to show secondary sports and have special programs that only Longhorn fans care about. Football games on the network was never really the focus of the content plan. The problem is we agreed to take a lot of money from ESPN and now ESPN is doing everything within their power to get the most money from service providers. This is just an ugly but necessary early phase. Come the spring, my hope is this will be a distant memory and I'll be happily watching Texas baseball games on Longhorn Network, which was the whole damn point in the first place.
Second, I can't find it now, but a lot of the early press releases/websites said www.longhornnetwork.com would be the streaming home at launch. I fully expect there to be streaming, but I expect it to be separate from espn3.
Directv! Get yo $#@! together!
Any idea if this will be part of ESPN Game Plan?
Damn, I'm having to wait to switch away from God-awful Comcast and my thoughts were AT&T's Uverse but muther $#@! me I don't want to get into something that may only serve to piss me off. Granted I'm usually in Austin for many of the home games, which Rice is a 50/50 thanks to the damn wife but you guys get my point.
If my back-up plan requires me to be home and I can't get the goddamn LHN on my TV... wait, I can always go to the bars. Hmm...
No one wants to set the negotiation mark for this so naturally most of the "bigs" are going to continue holding out. You'll see a flurry of activity the last week of August. This is straight out of the negotiating 101 handbook.
TW isnt carrying it yet? Who the $#@! is carrying this $#@! then? I thought I heard it was already going to be on TW with the sports package. Plus, isnt TW in UT's pocket? Seems like Time Warner and UT are always promoting together (BevoD for example). Im not sure why they wouldnt be in talks with UT and ESPN about getting a channel.
