Here is the teaser trailer:
September? You gotta be kidding me, I can't wait that long
$#@!. My free showtime will be over by then.
This show was so strong during the first season. I hope they don't $#@! it up.
I think this show needs to kill off a main character to keep the blood pumping. If they don't do something drastic I could see myself getting bored.
With that said, I thought season 1 was fantastic.
I have a feeling they'll tie this story up nice and tidy by the next to last episode, Carrie will be back in the CIA (even though that should impossible regardless of what happens) and the last episode sets up next season's plot.
Or she'll go free-lance, which would add an air of excitement to the show, since she'll have to avoid the Feds too. (Lots of scenes with her "almost" getting caught spying on US Nationals on our soil)
Watched season 1 last weekend. Good stuff. I haven't read all 12 pages of this thread, so there may be some speculation about who the mole is, but of course, I have my thoughts. Will be interested to see where that goes.
Awesome spot...can't wait.
I just watched season 1 of this show over the weekend, then thought I would glance at this thread to see others' thoughts. I'm a little surprised at all of the praise it's receiving.
The entire premise seems a little far-fetched, but whatever, I can buy that without too much trouble. The bigger problem for me is that every episode seems to have constant minor plot holes, or unrealistic scenes that were created for the sake of drama. The most recent example would be Brody walking around in the VP bunker, looking like a complete lunatic with a trigger in his hand, and no one notices a damn thing. Umm...ok. This type of thing happens over and over in this show. I understand suspension of disbelief, but it really pushes my limits as a viewer. I kept feeling like I was watching 24 in the later (crappy) seasons, then I looked it up, and lo and behold, 3 of the writers worked on 24 season 8. That explains a lot.
I'm also surprised that so many people like Claire Danes. Her acting is damn near unwatchable for me at times. I realize she is playing a bipolar character, but there is always something a little off about her inflection, facial expressions, and her horrible fake-crying-face that she has to use repeatedly.
I will likely keep watching season 2 because I have nothing else at the moment, but I definitely wouldn't put it among my favorite TV shows. I saw that it won quite a few Golden Globes over some other shows that I really like, so maybe it improves.
Yup. If you disliked season 1 for being too 24-like, then you should get out now.
Wow, season one was greatness...and about the 1st 3rd of Season 2 is that way too...after that it goes downhill.
