well this game is over
$#@! me--we need a big kill here.
10 games left. We need some points.
Sent from my Inspire 4G using Taptalk.
We desperately need points--plural, not singular--tomorrow against Phoenix.
The Stars will be lucky to get 2 points on the homestand following the 3 day weekend.
They are done.
Biggest game of the season tonight. Let's do this.
Shane Doan is a $#@!ing dirty piece of $#@!.
Hell of a response by the team, though.
oh man this is gonna get ugly tonight
Ryder, again!
i think Michael Ryder is kinda good.
Hey Otter, want to be back on my good side? Take a run at Doan or Whitney later. Should be Vrbata but he's out.
Need to send a $#@!ing message that this bull$#@! on Benn ain't gonna $#@!ing fly.
Finish them.
Can we undue that Goligoski trade? Yeesh Neal is a beast.
I always envision Hatcher bursting on to that set and just $#@!ing clocking JR.
Um, not a great time to give up a shorty.
$#@!, here we go...
Mother $#@!er!!!!
Jesus $#@!...6 men then that. $#@!ing terrible.
Back to our old ways of not being able to close a $#@!ing thing.
what the $#@! kind of d was that... please, skate across 2 blue lines unhindered all the way to crease...
Holy $#@!, we got lucky there.
There has been some really questionable officiating in this game.
$#@!, from the time i left office until I got home we blew a 3-1 lead?? Terrible
Wow.
Kari $#@!s bitches and gets money. /no jinx.
Sick move, Ribs!
2 pts the hard way!! Thank you, Kari.
Nice. Wish we could have kept them from that 1 point but nice W
Now, someone win this LA-SJ game in reg time.
Well, that was good. Too bad Colorado and Calgary couldn't do the same.
Colorado may be in a bit of trouble. They have only 7 games remaining and are only one point out of 9th. But regardless of that, the truth is that any team that doesn't get at least one point out of a game these days is putting itself in trouble.
Damn we have 2 games against Calgary, Vancouver and San Jose left along with one game against Nashville, Edmonton and St. Louis. I am not a fan of that schedule to close out the season.
We have beaten every team left at least once and so I think we can do it again. Of the six games left among the Flames, Canucks and Sharks I see us going 3-3. Between the 3 others I see us going 2-1 (I think St. Louis may be on cruise control by the time we get to them). If we do better than that I'll be happy and if we do worse we may not make the playoffs.
Having said that we're $#@!ing doomed anyway.

DALLAS -- Shane Doan of the Phoenix Coyotes has a hearing with the NHL Wednesday afternoon following his hit on Dallas forward Jamie Benn during the Stars' 4-3 shootout win Tuesday night, the league said.
Stars coach Glen Gulutzan said Doan should be suspended for the hit, which he saw as "deliberate."
"I think it is a suspendable offense. He targeted the head with his elbow," Gulutzan said. "The league will look at it for sure and decide. But it's deliberate."
Doan appeared to hit Benn in the head with an elbow at 5:54 of the second period, prompting a scrum that saw a total of 64 penalty minutes handed out.
Doan, who picked up a fighting major along with Stars captain Brenden Morrow, was given an elbowing minor for the hit on Benn.
Benn went down to the ice following the hit, then skated off under his own power and later returned to the game. He was shaken up on another hit in overtime, but returned to take part in the shootout.
The incident came 28 seconds after the Stars took a 2-1 lead on Michael Ryder's power-play goal.
It was not immediately clear if Doan's meeting with the NHL department of player safety would be conducted in person or over the phone.
The win kept the Stars, who snapped a two-game losing streak, in first place in the Pacific Division and third in the Western Conference. The Stars are one point ahead of both Los Angeles and Phoenix in the division and they are now three points ahead of San Jose with nine games remaining.
After the game, Phoenix coach Dave Tippett said he hadn't looked at footage of the hit yet, but was concerned about losing Doan to a possible suspension.
"We're lacking a few bodies right now," Tippett said. "That would be one we couldn't miss but we'll see how that turns out."
The Stars also lost defenseman Mark Fistric to a pulled muscle in the second period. He did not return.
Jamie took some lumps last night and I'm sure is sore as $#@! today. Hopefully he can bounce back and perform for the our final stretch.
Losing Fistric would be worrisome. Hopefully he comes back.
Doan deserves a game or two for that elbow. I'm not optimistic, though.
