i would think they'd have to wait until the nl finishes, seeing as how philly or milly or even arizona could have homefield, and the 4 teams stretch across multiple time zones. not sure how they work it (are both series on fox?).

Pissed about the day games because I'm planning on going to 4 and 5. Have to take most of the day off if I want to make an event out of it.

Couple things you all might be interested in.

1. Delmon Young is out with the oblique strain. Hit 3 homers in the NYY series. Ryan Raburn will replace him. Ryan Raburn is like a box o' chocolates.
2. Ol' Smokey changed his rotation. I like this one better as a Tiger fan. It's now JV, Scherzer, Fister, Porcello in Gs 1-4 and likely JV, Scherzer, Fister should it go that far. Before he was gonna throw Porcello in Gs 2 and likely 6. Porcello is a young guy with a lot of talent but he is a head case and loses his composure easily. I would just as soon not see him throw twice in a 7 game series, especially twice on the road. Scherzer can throw shut down ball (if the blue eyed Max shows up) or he can throw BP (brown eyed Max). Still like him throwing twice better than Porcello.

Good luck tonight, should be a great series. going to try to give my liver a rest after a wedding last night but I don't know if that's likely.

Clarify. It looks like Young is out for the series. Danny Worth will replace him on the ALCS roster. Worth is mostly a scrub. I am guessing that Raburn will take his spot in the starting lineup. Not sure if they will shuffle the order around so Magglio hits 3rd and Raburn hits further down but I'm guessing so.

At this point I hope Leyland goes to the bullpen - if there's any possibility of letting JV go again in 4 (and possibly 7). He is super mind $#@!ed already by this strike zone. Though, to be fair, it's been equally $#@!ty on both sides. Just not giving the outside corner.

I'm drunk, please allow me to vent. Yet serious.

Despite whatever regular season series advantage the Tigers have over the Rangers, it is clear to me that Detroit is a far inferior team. And no, this isn't some emotionally self-deprecating tact that I take to make myself feel better about a 1 run loss.

With Boesch and Young out of the lineup, this is a lineup that features basically 2-3 professional hitters and a bunch of role playing scrubs. There is no way this a World Series team. We have a couple of arms in the starting rotation, and maybe a couple more that need to develop some but outside of Valverde and Benoit there are no legitimate arms like you guys have. None. I can't believe a lineup featuring guys like Kelly, Santiago, Dirks, Worth, Raburn, Inge, Betemit, Jackson, Ordonez (at this stage in his career) etc has any business beating the Yankees let alone competing in the ALCS.
