Texas has a lot of fans within a days drive of WVU who haven't had a chance to see Texas on a regular basis.

Plenty will be glad to travel there for a weekend to see Texas play.

I guess that makes sense. It just that I wondered if going on the offensive might not be a good idea. The other conferences deals can be beat, but whether the Big 12-2 is willing to do that is another thing. I'm just ready for all of this re-alignment, pot shotting and BS to be over and settled. I had no idea that Texas and BlowU probably preferred 10, so of course there's a lot of weight there....and who the hell is Kevin Pittsnogle???

It's probably been pointed out already, but WVU is no more than 90 minutes drive from a major airport in Pittsburgh. For much of the conference (teams and fans) it's not going to take much longer than getting to Missouri did. Plus the drive is more enjoyable.

And at least WV folk have an excuse to be backwoods hicks, they live in West Virginia so what else would they be? aggy has no such explanation

Anyhow, I like this move. We are finally upgrading from a competitive standpoint. Sure, I wish WVU didn't blow as an academic school, but TCU and WVU are so much better than A&M and Mizzou, from a competitive standpoint, that it's worth it. Plus, not like we are in the ACC or Big 10 anyway. The academic ship sails when you have Tech in your conference.

For those going commercial out of Texas to MGW, there's one UA Express flight on a SAAB (34 seater) flight via Dulles that one can make. I guess you could go to Pittsburgh. It's 1.5 hours from there.
